The unipolar OFDM symbol frame can guarantee high power amplification efficiency and high transmission power efficiency, and is robust against a multi-path channel environment. Therefore, the unipolar OFDM symbol frame can be used in various optical signal modulation / demodulation methods for wireless indoor broadband optical transmission devices, wired broadband optical transmission devices using multi-mode optical fibers, and radio-over-fiber devices which transmit baseband analog signals as optical signals.

Apparatus and Methods for Low PAPR Transmission in MIMO Systems

System and method embodiments are provided herein for achieving low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) signals in multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) systems, including Massive MIMO (M-MIMO) systems. The embodiments include two schemes to reduce the PAPR in the transmitted signals. In a first scheme, the signals are precoded, at a BS or UE, to offload a signal from one antenna to another antenna to achieve PAPR reduction. The precoding is done with some penalty in terms of signal gain. In a second scheme, the signal is clipped and the clipped portion is further projected on the MIMO antennas to compensate for the error caused by clipping. Out-of-band radiation is also removed in this scheme.

Compared with a Gysel power distributor of which the input port and the output port are connected by a 1/4-wavelength impedance line, the structure is characterized in that the high power distribution ratio can be realized, and the bandwidth of the structure can be arbitrarily controlled. Meanwhile, two transmission zero points can be established on the edge of a passband, and the frequency selectivity is improved. The Gysel power distribution filter with the high power distribution ratio has the high power distribution ratio of 10:1, and can be suitable for various antenna array fields.

The invention relates to a preparation method of gallium arsenide thin-film multijunction stacked solar cells. The preparation method is characterized by including the steps of firstly, allowing for reverse growth of an epitaxial layer to prepare a GaAs three-junction solar cell; secondly, bonding the cell prepared in the step 1 to a Si substrate; thirdly, stripping a Ge substrate; fourthly, adhering a low-cost substrate; and fifthly, stripping the Si substrate. The preparation method allows for epitaxial growth of a top cell and an intermediate cell prior to growth of a bottom cell, and accordingly the lattice subjected to epitaxial growth firstly is guaranteed to match with perfect epitaxial growth of the top cell and the intermediate cell; doping uniformity and film reliability in large-area epitaxial thin films are increased, and photoelectric conversion efficiency is further improved; by the use of the low-cost support substrate lower than Ge in specific weight, the weight of the cells is reduced, the power ratio of the solar cells is increased, the cost of the cells is reduced effectively, and application prospect of the III-V compound solar cells is improved greatly.
