The invention discloses a method for promoting
anthesis of an Indica sterile line. The method comprises the following steps: selecting single strains which are in a full heading stage and have neat
layers of ears of rice in the sterile line in an afternoon of a day before the day when test crossing and transformation are carried out,
cutting out old and excessively young ears of rice in the single strains of the sterile line, retaining flag leaves of the ears of rice, stripping the flag leaves down to ear necks,
cutting out bloomed glumous flowers at upper parts of the ears of rice and glumous flowers with whitening glumous hulls at the basal parts of the ears of rice, carrying out watering and
moisture retention after trimming and standing the single strains of the sterile line for subsequent usage; and in the day of test crossing and transformation, treating the sterile line in lukewarm water with a temperature of 44 to 46 DEG C, then wrapping the ears of rice of the sterile line with a wet agricultural black
mulch film immediately, placing the wrapped ears of rice in
sunlight for treatment for 20 to 30 min, opening the wrapping
mulch film, flicking off unnecessary
moisture and anther, covering the ears of rice with a waterproof hybridization paper bag, enclosing the paper bag and carrying out further test crossing and transformation. With a technical scheme in the invention,
anthesis of the sterile line is promoted, an
outcrossing rate is increased, seed quality is improved and the
seedling rate of a coeno-species is enhanced.
