A method for mechanized seed production of
hybrid rice through integration of the
seedling slinging technology and the direct seeding technology particularly includes the steps that the number of days of difference from
sowing to heading of male parents and female parents is calculated, seedlings of parents (normally the male parents) with a long growth period are grown in advance (preparation of
seedling slinging is made), and when the
seedling age approaches the number of the calendar period difference days from
sowing to heading, mechanized seedling slinging or manual seedling slinging is conducted in advance on a prepared field according to a certain proportion so that seedlings can be evenly distributed in the field; meanwhile, seeds of parents (normally female parents) with a short growth period are soaked at the right time,
germination is accelerated, according to the difference between calendar periods from
sowing to heading, the seeds are evenly and directly sowed in the field (in a mechanized mode), so that the condition that the male parents and the female parents are planted in the field at the same period is guaranteed, the parents are evenly mixed, the mode that the parents are planted in different rows in traditional seed production is broken, labor is saved, field management is facilitated, mechanized harvest is achieved with the combination of the mixed sowing seed production technology (including the male parent herbicide sensitivity method, the
glume color
selection method and the like), and therefore
mechanization of the whole process of seed production is achieved.
