The invention discloses an automatic injector. The automatic injector comprises a shell, a needle protecting cover, a push rod, a sounding cylinder, an inner tube, a release ring, a driving elastic piece and a reset elastic piece. When the automatic injector is used, a needle syringe is fixed in the shell; a needle head extends out of the front end of the shell; the needle protecting cover is telescopically connected with the shell; the needle protecting cover can push the release ring to slide towards the rear end of the shell; after the release ring moves to the rear end, a first clip of theinner tube releases snap-in limitation on the push rod; and the push rod pushes a piston under the action of the driving elastic piece to inject liquid in the needle syringe to a part, which needs tobe injected, of a body, thus realizing the goal of automatic injection. After injection is finished, the sounding cylinder is separated from limiting of the inner tube and slides towards the rear endof the shell so as to send out a signal that injection is finished. According to the automatic injector provided by the scheme, the automatic injection function of a pre-filled needle syringe can beachieved by eight parts, and compared with the prior art, the automatic injector is simple in structure, small in number of parts, simple in mechanism action principle and high in reliability.
