Bentazon (Bentazone, Basagran, Herbatox, Leader, Laddock) is a chemical manufactured by BASF Chemicals for use in herbicides. It is categorized under the thiadiazine group of chemicals. Sodium bentazon is available commercially and appears slightly brown in colour.

A pretreatment method for detecting bentazon in soil and broad beans using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry

This invention provides a pretreatment method for detecting metribuzin in soil and broad beans using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS / MS). The method includes: weighing 10.0 g of soil into a 50.0 ml centrifuge tube, adding 10.0 ml of acetonitrile, vortexing for 3.0 min, adding 3.0 g of NaCl, vortexing for 1.0 min, centrifuging at 5000 rpm for 5.0 min, taking 1.5 ml of the supernatant and adding it to a 2.5 ml centrifuge tube containing 25.0 mg PSA, 25.0 mg C18, and 100 mg anhydrous MgSO4, vortexing for 1.0 min, centrifuging at 8000 rpm for 3.0 min, aspirating the supernatant with a 5.0 ml syringe, filtering through a membrane, and transferring to a 2.5 ml brown sample bottle. This invention is applicable to the detection of metribuzin residues in broad beans, a specialty crop grown in high-altitude regions.

Sulfonation-chlorination two-step continuous preparation process of bentazone intermediate

PendingCN121930189ASulfuric acid amide preparationSodium methoxideBenzoic acid
The invention discloses a bentazone intermediate sulfonation-chlorination two-step continuous preparation process which comprises the following steps: continuously metering and adding a solvent, chlorosulfonic acid, triethylamine, isopropylamine and a catalyst into a first-section tubular reactor, and carrying out sulfonation reaction to obtain a reaction material isopropylaminosulfonic acid; continuously introducing the reaction material isopropylamine sulfonic acid into a second section of tubular reactor, and simultaneously continuously metering and adding methyl anthranilate and phosphorus oxychloride for chlorination reaction; after the reaction is finished, quenching the reaction liquid with water, and carrying out layering and distillation treatment to obtain an intermediate o-isopropylamine sulfonamide methyl benzoate solid; and carrying out ring-closure reaction on the intermediate o-isopropylamino sulfonamido methyl benzoate solid and sodium methoxide in a methanol solution to prepare the bentazone active compound. According to the method, the defects of low bentazone product content and poor yield caused by high temperature of intermittent sulfonation and chlorination are effectively overcome, the operation time is shortened, and the productivity is improved.

A herbicidal yield-enhancing composition and use thereof

ActiveCN120167437BBiocidePlant growth regulatorsButyrateBentazon
The application belongs to the technical field of pesticides, and particularly relates to a herbicidal yield-increasing composition with 2,4-D butyric acid, trifluratom and bentazon as effective components and application thereof. The composition is 2,4-D butyric acid, trifluratom and bentazon, and the mass ratio of 2,4-D butyric acid, trifluratom and bentazon is (1-30):(1-16):(1-75). The herbicidal yield-increasing composition has high herbicidal activity, can increase the yield of peanuts, has ternary compounding, synergistic effect, a wide weed spectrum, a long effective period and high safety, and is not prone to resistance.

A herbicidal composition based on bentazon and its preparation method

This invention relates to the field of pesticide technology, specifically to a herbicidal composition based on bentazon and its preparation method. The invention involves compounding bentazon, diflubenzuron, microspheres, functional adjuvants, defoamers, and other adjuvants to prepare a herbicidal composition with good herbicidal effect under low-temperature conditions. The microspheres are prepared from hydrophobically modified lignin, bentazon, sodium octenyl succinate starch, and maltodextrin. The hydrophobically modified lignin has good ultraviolet absorption and photothermal conversion capabilities, increasing the temperature of weed leaf surfaces and thus enhancing the physiological activity of weeds. This allows the herbicidal composition to be effectively absorbed by the weeds and exert its herbicidal effect. Sodium octenyl succinate starch and maltodextrin improve the chemical stability of bentazon, preventing its photodecomposition and demonstrating broad application prospects.
