System for tracking suspicious vehicular activity

A system for monitoring and tracking vehicles in parking locations, public roadways and highway entrances and exits and other public vehicle access areas is provided, such as to monitor and track vehicles in parking spaces, public roadways and highways without the need for parking or traffic personnel. The system includes a meter system that generates image data of a vehicle in a parking space, public roadway and highway entrances and exits such as by creating an array of pixel data in a predetermined field of view that includes a vehicle identification tag and facial imaging. An enforcement and tracking system receives the image data and generates a vehicle license number, vehicle tag identification number and facial image from the image data, such as by analyzing the image data to identify the vehicle license number, vehicle tag identification number and facial image based on the expected location of the license tag, identification tag and field of view image data characteristics of the license tag, facial image or other suitable data. From the image data acquired, monitoring of parking spaces is performed and violation citations or notices are generated for errant vehicles in parking locations as well as notification to law enforcement and homeland security agencies of vehicles and facial images identified as being on a watch list.

System for enabling collaboration and protecting sensitive data

The inventive system facilitates collaboration between, multiple network users with respect to collaboration subject matter while maintaining the integrity of sensitive data. In one implementation, the system (200) includes a radiant collaboration subsystem (202) and a radiant sanitizer/guard subsystem (206). The guard (202) receives input information (206), reformats the input information (206) as necessary, and processes the input information and sanitizes the input information (206) based, on predefined rules regarding dissemination of sensitive information to particular recipients. Sanitized outputs are provided by the guard (204) on a recipient-specific basis The collaboration subsystem (202) allows for establishing a conference of collaborators identifying a document or documents to be included in the conference and allowing such documents as well as such documents to be represented to individual collaborators in accordance with the noted rules governing distribution of sensitive information. In this manner, collaboration is facilitated among collaborators that may have different limitations regarding access to sensitive data. The system (200) is useful in a variety of contexts, including the sharing of information as between public and private sector entities related to homeland security.

Mobile enforcement platform and aimable violation detection and documentation system for multiple types of traffic violations across all lanes in moving traffic supporting immediate or delayed citation generation as well as homeland security monitoring activities

An manned, mobile traffic enforcement platform with aimable violation and documentation devices employing digital video and still images, incorporating contextual information as well as data input by the system operator and driver. The mobile enforcement platform (MEP) is operated by a trained and authorized system operator (typically a police officer trained and experienced in traffic enforcement) who applies pre-determined criteria, protocols, procedures and routines that are approved and authorized by the user-jurisdiction for use with the MEP system. MEP's aimable devices support detection, identification, and documentation of violations occurring in any of several lanes behind or in front of the moving MEP vehicle. MEP also can be used from the roadside. The violation information and documentation can be transmitted to a fixed facility for citation processing or it can be transferred in batches over landlines or by direct link for later citation processing. MEP is designed to capture all types of moving violations, including aggressive driving and reckless driving, in readily retrievable documentation that will support citation preparation and can even be provided with the citation to substantiate the content as required by the respective jurisdiction. The MEP operator or driver also can identify gross violations to police dispatchers for attempted interception of the violator by other police units. MEP also generates traffic-related information of interest to planners and police enforcement and can perform homeland security monitoring tasks as well as other surveillance activities. MEP is a traffic enforcement tool that is designed to greatly expand police productivity, reduce police officer paperwork and court time, increase enforcement credibility (eventually reducing court caseloads), reduce crash costs and fatalities, and dramatically improve highway safety.

A centralized Transportation communication vehicle for extracting transportation topics of information from a database such as the web, such that the web is made searchable for occurrences of topics of transportation information. The occurrences of topics of transportation information that were found in the database are analyzed to identify a pattern in which the topics were stored or extracted, and enabling the web and the topics to form a centralized transportation communication engine that enables communication with different systems and responsive to all different platforms, enabling the different platforms to talk to one another through one centralized system that integrates with all government transportation agencies, all police stations, all fire department agencies, homeland security agencies, and all local government agencies seamlessly in real time. The centralized transportation engine forming a broadband for a centralized transportation communication vehicle having the capabilities to integrate seamlessly with all existing transportation industries, commercial transportation companies, homeland security department, all fleet STEMS, car rental companies and all garages in the nation and around the world through their local existing systems and enable these systems to talk to each other and communicate better in real time interaction, real responsive, real resourceful, and real responsible to transportation system analysis, preventive maintenance scheduling and reprogramming, monitoring of at least a terrorist desiring transportation topics of information, and enabling a centralized database interaction with existing transportation companies.
