The invention relates to a wireless personal digital assistant (PDA) and database-based experiment evaluation system. The system comprises a background server, a wireless router, a card swiping subsystem and a client consisting of a local area network (LAN) PC, a plurality of campus network (CN) PCs and a wireless PDA, wherein the background server, the LAN PC, a card swiping PC and the wireless router are connected to the experiment centre LAN; an IC card reader is connected to the card swiping PC through a USB interface; the CN PCs are connected with the CN; and the experiment centre LAN is connected with the CN. A wireless PDA and database-based experiment evaluation method comprises the following steps of: swiping cards by students, logging on to a WWW server, querying student information, selecting a student and an experiment project, querying evaluation standard information, estimating experiment and the like. With an evaluation standard, the system and the method have the advantages of strictness and consistency, more comprehensive evaluation indexes, convenient arrangement of experiment results and the like, and create conditions for the complete opening of the laboratory.
