Dermabrasion hand tool for abrasively removing skin surface

A dermabrasion hand tool for abrasively removing a skin surface by means of an abrasive stream projected onto the skin surface to be removed. The hand tool includes an elongated manipulative body having a longitudinal axis and first and second opposite ends. The hand tool also includes an operative head through which the abrasive stream is projected onto the skin surface to be removed and through which the removed skin surface and used abrasive stream are evacuated, the operative head being removably mounted onto the first end of the manipulative body. The hand tool further includes a supply channel for supplying the abrasive stream to the operative head from a supply stream source, and an evacuating channel for evacuating the removed skin surface and used abrasive stream from the operative head to an evacuating means, both of said channels extending within and along the manipulative body and each having first and second extremities located respectively at the first and second ends of the manipulative body. The hand tool is characterized in that its operative head has a projection head for projecting the abrasive stream orthogonally to the skin surface to be removed; an evacuation chamber operatively connected to the evacuating channel for facilitating evacuation of the removed skin surface and used abrasive stream into the evacuating channel; and rotation-inducing mechanisms for giving a rotational pattern to the abrasive stream projected from the operative head. The hand tool enables a controlled and adjustable removal of superficial skin surface. Furthermore, the hand tool enables a substantially even skin abrasion pattern, both in surface geometry and in time. Moreover, the hand tool enables to project and retrieve the abrasive stream to and from the skin surface to be removed in a rotational pattern and orthogonally thereto. The hand tool is also easy to assemble, easy to use, and easy to maintain.

Aircraft fuselage

The fuselage is conceived in such a way as to prevent the spread of flames produced by a source of fire and acting on the fuselage from outside the aircraft environment. The fuselage concept takes into account materials or material combinations that will scarcely allow protection of the cabin area of an aircraft (upon emergency landing) to be violated by flames spreading from outside the aircraft environment, which may facilitate an evacuation of passengers from the aircraft. An aircraft fuselage, whose fuselage structure , in addition to other structural elements that are components of the mechanic al strength bracing of the fuselage and help absorb its forces, encompasses an exterior skin (2) consisting of various respective materials, which are designed to be resistant to shear, and incorporated as a bearing element int o the mechanical strength bracing (6,7,8) to absorb and transfer the forces an d torques acting thereupon. The exterior skin (2) is fabricated from a burn- through resistant semi-finished material consisting of a non-metallic materi al or a fireproof metallic material, wherein the semi-finished material can be molded through further processing. Also, the exterior skin may be realized b y a semi-finished material combining a non-metallic material and a metallic material, wherein the produced exterior skin product is a hybrid material th at can be molded and joined through further processing.

Simulation system and method of evacuation crowd behavior based on grid-density-relation

The invention discloses a simulation system and method of an evacuation crowd behavior based on grid-density-relation. The system comprises an evacuation scene model building unit, an evacuation scene global path planning unit, a crowd activity generation unit and a crowd simulation unit, wherein the evacuation scene model building unit is used for extracting characteristics of an evacuation scene according to structural information of the evacuation scene to obtain a three-dimensional model of the evacuation scene; the evacuation scene global path planning unit used for performing global path planning on the evacuation scene according to the three-dimensional model of the evacuation scene, and calculating global paths of all entrances in the evacuation scene; the crowd activity generation unit used for performing crowd grouping according to the quantity of all entrances, a relationship between individuals in the crowd and individual location information in the evacuation scene; and the crowd simulation unit used for calculating the real-time speed of individuals in a simulation process according to a social force model, and in the simulation process, correcting the moving speed of each individual in the same group in real time, so as to keep the advancing consistency of each group, and realize behavior simulation of the evacuation crowd.

Cutting insert with coolant delivery and method of making the cutting insert

An assembly of components for forming upon consolidation of the components a cutting insert for use in chipforming and material removal from a workpiece wherein the cutting insert receives coolant from a coolant source. The assembly comprises a cavity member that presents opposite first and second rake surfaces and a flank surface. The cavity member further presents a first cutting edge at the juncture of the first rake surface and the flank surface. The cavity member further has a first depression in the first rake surface that is generally adjacent to the first cutting edge. The cavity member has a first cavity channel in communication with the first depression. The assembly also has a first core member that has a first core channel and a first flange wherein when the components are assembled, the first core channel is adjacent to the first cavity channel and the first flange is adjacent to the first depression. The assembly also has a second core member which has a second flange containing a fifth notch and the second core member further containing a fifth notch channel opening into the fifth notch. When the components are assembled, the fifth notch is adjacent to the second rake surface and the fifth notch channel is adjacent to the first cavity channel. Upon consolidation of the components, the cavity member, the first core member and the second core member join together so that the first depression and the first flange define a first fluid spray chamber, and the first cavity channel and the first core channel and the fifth notch channel join together to form a fifth internal fluid passageway, which provides fluid communication from the fifth notch adjacent to the second rake surface to the first fluid spray chamber adjacent to the first rake surface.
