The wind turbine comprises blades, an engine compartment, a generator, a wind speed tachymeter and a control system, wherein the generator is arranged in the engine compartment, the wind speed meter is arranged on the upper portion of the engine compartment, and the control system is arranged in the engine compartment. The control system comprises a yaw system, a torque control module, a yaw control module and a converter, wherein the yaw system, the torque control module, the yaw control module and the converter are arranged on the lower portion of the engine compartment; when the wind speed is below a rated wind speed, the yaw system makes the wind turbine be aligned with the wind direction, and power is controlled by controlling the tip speed ratio; when the wind speed is above the rated wind speed, the yaw system makes the wind turbine be deviated from the wind direction, and motor power is kept at the rated power by controlling the rotating speed of the wind turbine. According to the wind turbine, a high-failure-rate variable pitch system is not used, so that the operational reliability of the wind turbine is improved, the design weight of the wind turbine is reduced, materials are saved, and cost is cut down.
