The invention discloses an imidacloprid-based wettable powder which is prepared from the following materials in parts by weight: 10 to 90 parts of imidacloprid, 1 to 5 parts of nekal, 3 to 15 parts ofan adsorbent, 15 to 20 parts of solid sodium hypochlorite and 10 to 25 parts of diatomaceous earth. The adsorbent is mixed in the powder, so that the specific surface area of the powder is increased,the adsorption capacity of the powder is improved, and the absorption of internal insecticides is enhanced. The storage capacity of the insecticides is increased. The adsorbent is internally porous,and the insecticides are stored therein. After the wettable powder is sprayed onto the outside of crop, the adsorbent is adhered to the foliage of the crop and stays longer. The insecticides can be dispensed for a long time to kill insects, thereby improving the capacity of the insecticides to kill insects. The modified SiO2 is used to increase the hydrophilic ability of the wettable powder, so that the mixed spraying of the wettable powder and water is facilitated.
