An improved electrosurgical instrument is disclosed and claims which includes a reusable electrode shaft, a disposable tip and a novel, insulated coupling for removably connecting the disposable tip to the electrode shaft. The present invention provides several advantages and features. The coupling provides ease in connecting the disposable tip to the reusable electrode shaft in an operating room environment. Once the tip is connected to the shaft, the coupling ensures a rigid and secure connection between the tip and the shaft, such that the coupled tip/shaft assembly feels to the surgeon like a single, unitary instrument. In addition, the coupling ensures a good electrical connection between the tip and the shaft, prevents the tip from inadvertently or accidentally becoming separated from the reusable electrode shaft, and maintains the position of the tip relative to the shaft by preventing the tip from rotating relative to the holder. The coupling also includes an insulating sheath that eliminates any conduction paths between the patient and the electrosurgical instrument other than the surgical tip.

A high-rise building with a large scale dot-matrix display device is disclosed. The glass panels arranged in rows and columns form a curtain wall structured transparent outer wall 12 extending over an exterior of a building 10. Each panel is installed apart from end portions of floor slabs to form a void space therebetween. A plurality of louver structured modules 22 are arranged within the void space in rows and columns to form a large scale display area. Each module 22 has a louver-like structure formed of a plurality of posts 24 arranged in substantially parallel relationship and a plurality of parallel, uniformly spaced beams 26 connecting said adjacent posts 24. A plurality of LED combination lamps 28 are mounted on each beam 26 at uniform pitches as those between the adjacent beams 26. The LEDs are driven by drive circuits disposed in each beam 26. Improved sucker rod joints for down hole petroleum pumping applications are provided within the form factor of standard API sucker rods, such that existing inventory in suitable condition is fully usable in more demanding applications. The pin ends are selected or processed such as to provide preselected axial distance between a flat pin end and at least one reference surface, such as a threaded region or reference shoulder or both. An RF management system especially suitable for use in CATV head end environments is disclosed. The system is characterized by a basic rack-mountable chassis component that can be configured for both front and rear mount applications, for different cable management solutions and for accepting eighteen passive RF modules or nine active RF modules or a combination of passive and active RF circuit modules. The active configuration of the chassis has an integrated power bus with at least nine connectors for receiving up to nine active RF circuit modules. The active RF circuit modules, such as power supplies and amplifiers are each provided with a “floating” connector for ease in connecting the power supply module or amplifier module to the power bus. An easy-to-assemble electric power steering device for automotive vehicles is provided which includes an electric motor, a controller, and a torque transmission mechanism. The controller controls a steering assist torque outputted by the motor. The torque transmission mechanism work to transmit the output of the motor to a steering shaft. The steering device also includes a support member which work to support the steering shaft and the controller within a shell. Specifically, the controller is not mounted directly on an inner wall of the shell, but retained by the support member, thus facilitating ease of electrical connection between electrical parts installed on the support member and a substrate of the controller after the substrate is mounted on the support member.
