The invention relates to a control method of a wind turbine generator yaw damping moment, and belongs to the technical field of wind power generation. The method comprises the steps that an electromagnetic yaw system is adopted for controlling the yaw damping moment in real time, when the wind direction is changed, the wind power rotating torque of wind power action on an engine room is calculated at first; if the wind power rotating torque is smaller than driving torque needed by yaw of the engine room, the current of a yaw motor rotor is adjusted, so that the generated electromagnetic attraction force is equal to the gravity of the engine room so as to reduce the yaw damping torque; if the wind power rotating torque is larger than or equal to the driving torque needed by yaw of the engine room, the current of the yaw motor rotor is adjusted, so that the generated electromagnetic attraction force is smaller than the gravity of the engine room, and the generated friction resisting moment increases the yaw damping torque; three-phase alternating current is led into the yaw motor rotor and then the engine room is driven to perform yawing according to the given yaw rotating speed. The yaw damping torque of the wind turbine generator is regulated in real time, and the control method has the advantages of being easy and convenient to control, accurate in wind alignment, low in yaw energy consumption, free of noise, little in maintenance and the like.
