The invention relates to a light-induced mosquito eradication
flowerpot for controlling the propagation of mosquitoes in gardens, which comprises a
flowerpot body, spawning cavity, an insectary, an eclosion chamber, a
skylight pipe, a planting groove and flowers and trees, wherein the flowers and trees are planted in the planting groove on the upper part of the water-containing
flowerpot body; the spawning cavity is formed in the center of the flowerpot body, a mosquito inducing opening is formed on the upper part of the spawning cavity, and a mosquito
larva outlet gap is formed on the lower part of the spawning cavity; the eclosion chamber is formed below the planting groove, and a
water body below the eclosion chamber is used as the insectary; the flowerpot corresponding to the eclosion chamber is provided with a window and an overflow gate; and the planting groove is provided with the
skylight pipe for
daylighting and ventilating. Female mosquitoes fly into the spawning cavity and spawn on a water surface at a spawning opening in the center of a floating ring,
mosquito larvae descend due to
phototropism, swim into the bright insectary from the gap and find food to pupate, and adult mosquitoes subjected to eclosion are trapped in the eclosion chamber, so that a
reproduction chain is interrupted; and when water in the flowerpot is dried, the floating ring sinks and blocks the gap to prevent the mosquitoes in the eclosion chamber from escaping. The light-induced mosquito eradication flowerpot is widely arranged in
living quarters or beauty spots so as to beautify the gardens and eradicate the mosquitoes without paying more money.
