Design method for polarizing lens, polarizing lens, and LED street lamp

Provided is a design method for a polarizing lens. The method comprises: through establishing corresponding relations of the light distribution curve of a LED light source and the light distribution curve of a LED street lamp, based on refraction of light rays through an incident plane of a polarizing lens, the light rays being emitted from the LED light source, directly forming a refracted ray in luminous intensity distribution required by reaching a target surface, an exit surface not changing propagation direction of the refracted ray, and establishing to obtain a structure model of the polarizing lens. The polarizing lens obtained by the design method uses the refraction on the incident plane of the polarizing lens to directly form the refracted ray in the luminous intensity distribution required by reaching a target surface, the polarizing lens effectively reduces total reflection in the polarizing lens, increases light out-coupling efficiency, and effectively reduces total reflection loss of light rays in relatively large angles on the exit surface of a conventional lens, and increases efficiency of the LED light source. In addition, also provided is the polarizing lens obtained by the design method for the polarizing lens, and the LED street lamp using the polarizing lens.
