The invention discloses a broadband low-profile circularly polarized antenna based on asymmetric dipoles. The antenna has a four-layer structure, wherein the first layer is a radiation structure whichis printed on the upper layer of an upper dielectric plate and has a rotational symmetry characteristic, and comprises four asymmetric dipoles, each dipole comprising a long arm on the outer side anda short arm on the inner side; the second layer is of an artificial magnetic conductor structure and comprises two kinds of different sizes of square metal patches which are printed on the upper layer of a middle dielectric plate; the third layer is a floor printed on the upper layer of a lower dielectric plate and a feed network printed on the lower layer of the lower dielectric plate, and comprises a second-order Wilkinson power divider and a 90-degree broadband phase shifter; and the fourth layer is four broadband balun structures printed on a vertical dielectric plate, provides balance feed for the radiation structure, and realizes impedance matching in a broadband. The antenna has the advantages of wide frequency band, low profile, simple structure, gentle in-band gain and the like, and is suitable for the wireless communication fields of electronic countermeasure, radio frequency identification systems, wireless local area networks, global positioning systems and the like.
