Battery arrangement (10) especially for a motor vehicle, comprising: - a plurality of battery cells (12) for storing electrical energy, wherein the battery cells (12) each have two
electrical contacts (14, 16), - a
printed circuit board (18) arranged parallel to the battery cells (12) with a plurality of electrical components, wherein the
printed circuit board (18) is electrically connected to the
electrical contacts (14, 16) of the battery cells (12) and wherein the
printed circuit board (18) has two opposing surfaces (20, 22) and has at least one side surface (24) which connects the surfaces (20, 22) together and on which at least one metallic contact surface (26) is formed, which is electrically connected to at least one of the
electrical contacts (14, 16) of the battery cells (16) by means of a bond wire connection (28), characterized in that the battery cells (12) are elongated and the printed circuit board (18) is aligned parallel to longitudinal axes of the battery cells (12).
