The present invention discloses a seedling-raising substrate. The seedling-raising substrate comprises the following raw materials in volume percentages: 30% of moss or herbaceous peat, 40% of coconutcoir with low salt content, 10% of perlite, 10% of vermiculite, 10% of rice husk ash and a fertilizer with a low nitrogen, medium phosphorus and high potassium structure at a concentration of 1.2 Kg/m<3>. The coconut coir with low salt content, raw ore moss or herbaceous peat, vermiculite, perlite, etc. are used, according to water retention and breathability characteristics of the materials, anappropriate ratio is adjusted to keep a stable gap structure and adaptation, fibers and particle structures of the coconut coir with low salt content well slow release porosity of the moss or herbaceous peat, so that overall porosity of the product is 70% or more. Seedlings raised by using the substrate have a root system in a net structure, are not obvious in main root system, but are very prosperous in fibrous root system, can quickly return to green and recover after being transplanted, and are improved in survival rate. The substrate-raised seedlings are not large in leaf blades and not high in plant height, the root system and stems are firstly raised, foundation is laid, although the seedlings are 2-5 cm shorter than that raised by common technique and smaller in the leaf blades, theplants are rapider in recovery and easier to survive after seedling transplanting.
