It identifies suspicious behavior of individuals captured by surveillance cameras. The crime prevention system monitors the behavior of individuals contained in multiple camera images captured sequentially over time by the surveillance cameras. The system detects individual regions within each of the multiple camera images and performs tracking processing to identify individuals within the multiple camera images based on the individual image data contained in those regions over time. Furthermore, if the tracking processing fails midway, individuals deemed to be engaging in suspicious behavior are identified within the camera images. In cases where suspicious behavior is determined, an alarm message can be sent from an output device.
