toll collection method capable of preventing
toll evasion, which can be applied to an ETC
system. The method includes the following steps of: detecting the state of a vehicle entering an ETC lane; detecting the height of the vehicle entering the ETC lane and storing the height into a memory; detecting a type of the vehicle entering the ETC lane through an on-board electronic tag
detector; performing vehicle determination and decision, i.e., determining the type of the vehicle entering the ETC lane according to preset height pre-determined values of various vehicle types and a detection result of a raster
detector; and comparing the
vehicle type of a determined result with the
vehicle type detected by the on-board electronic tag
detector, and deciding an intercept
signal and an intervention alerting
signal based on a comparison result. The invention also relates to an electronic non-stop
toll collection system capable of preventing toll evasion. The method can decide the intercept
signal and the intervention alerting signal based on the comparison result of the
vehicle type determined by the actual vehicle height and the vehicle type detected by the ETC
system rather than only electronic tag identification, and can effectively prevent toll evasion.
