The application discloses a method for generating tunable and wavefront-controllable terahertz radiation, comprising: generating an electron beam satisfying coherent transition radiation conditions by an electron beam generating module; interfering a target terahertz wavefront with a coherent transition radiation reference field to obtain an interference pattern, and transferring the interference pattern to a surface of a holographic grating target to form a spatial microstructure matching the target terahertz wavefront; guiding the electron beam to a surface center region of the holographic grating target, and making the electron beam pass through the surface of the holographic grating target to generate a coherent transition radiation field at the surface; and using the spatial microstructure to perform frequency spectrum and wavefront regulation on the coherent transition radiation field, so that the coherent transition radiation field is coherently superimposed, and terahertz radiation with the target terahertz is output; wherein the center frequency, the emission direction and the wavefront structure of the terahertz radiation are regulated by adjusting the geometric parameters of the spatial microstructure, the energy and the pulse width of the electron beam.
