The invention relates to a synthesis method of a low temperature-resistant perfluoroether rubber. The synthesis method comprises the following steps: 1) evenly mixing an emulsifier, fluoroether oil and water together and heating until 40 DEG C to form a microemulsion, and adding a comonomer A and a comonomer B to the microemulsion to obtain a mixed liquor; 2) adding deionized water and a pH regulator to a reaction kettle, adjusting the content of oxygen in the reaction kettle to be lower than 20ppm, increasing the temperature in the reaction kettle to the range of 70-120 DEG C, and adding the mixture of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoromethyl vinyl ether to the reaction kettle; 3) adding the mixed liquor to the reaction kettle and adding the initiator potassium peroxodisulfate to start reacting, and adding a vulcanization point monomer and a chain transfer agent until the reaction ends, thereby obtaining a polymer; 4) performing electrolyte coagulation on the polymer and then washing, drying in vacuum and molding by plastifying to obtain the perfluoroether rubber. The synthesis method is simple to operate and mild in reaction conditions, and is capable of preparing the low-temperature-resistant perfluoroether rubber by adjusting the monomer structure.

Alkyl aromatic compounds are converted to alkyl aromatic aldehydes by a carbonylation reaction. The carbonylation catalyst can be a high boiling point carbonylation catalyst which allows for the separation of the aldehyde product by selective volatilization. Alternatively, the carbonylation catalyst can be selected from perfluoroalkyl sulfonic acids having 2 to 18 carbon atoms, perfluoroether sulfonic acids having 2 to 18 carbon atoms, BF3.(ROH)x wherein R represents CH3 or H and X is a number within the range of from 0.2 to 2, GaBr3, GaCl3, TaF5, NbF5, and NbBr5, with the proviso that when the catalyst is TaF5, NbF5, or NbBr5, then the reaction takes place in the absence of added HF. Preferably, all of the carbonylation reactions take place in the absence of added HF. The alkyl aromatic aldehydes can be oxidized to form an aromatic acid. A mixed xylene feed stock can be converted to a mixture of diemthylbenzaldehydes and then oxidized to form trimellitic acid without the need to separate the xylene or dimethylbenzaldehyde isomers.

The acrylic ester containing the perfluoropolyether chain synthesized by using the method has the characteristics of simple technology, and high product yield and purity, and can be applied for the synthesis of a fluorine-containing acrylic resin or other fluorine-containing materials.

The high-temperature-resistant ultrapure perfluoroether rubber is prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 80 to 120 parts of peroxide perfluoroether rubber; less than or equal to 10 parts by mass of a dispersant; 5-25 parts by mass of fumed silica; less than or equal to 10 parts by mass of an accelerant; and less than or equal to 10 parts by mass of a vulcanizing agent. The perfluoroether peroxide rubber used in the invention can resist the temperature of 300 DEG C, and has excellent medium resistance; the fumed silica is adopted to improve the high temperature resistance and mechanical properties of the material, and the dispersant is adopted to ensure the processability of the material; the invention relates to ultra-pure perfluoroether rubber with extremely low metal ion precipitation.

Methods for manufacturing electrodes including fluoropolymer-based solid electrolyte interface layers

Methods for manufacturing electrodes include applying a fluoropolymer film to a lithium-based host material, defluorinating the fluoropolymer film by heating to produce a lithium electrode having a solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer including defluorinated fluoropolymers and at least about 5 wt. % LiF. The fluoropolymers can include one or more of fluorinated ethylenepropylene, perfluoroalkoxy alkanes, vinylidenefluoride, and copolymers of perfluoromethylvinylether and tetrafluoroethylene. The fluoropolymers can include one or more fluorinated monomers, including hexafluoropropylene, tetrafluoroethylene, ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene, perfluoroethers, and vinylidene fluoride. The —CF3 functional groups of the defluorinated fluoropolymers can be about 3 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of the SEI layer. The SEI layer can include about 30 wt. % to about 50 wt. % LiF. The method can include assembling a battery cell by disposing a battery separator between a cathode and the electrode, and disposing the battery separator, the cathode, and the electrode in an electrolyte.

A bis(perfluoroether carboxylic acid alkyl)amino ester represented by the general formula: {CnF2n+1O[CF(CF3)CF2O]aCF(CF3)COO(CH2)b}2NR, wherein R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, an aryl group, or an aralkyl group; preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an aryl group; n is an integer of 1 to 3; a is an integer of 0 to 20, preferably an integer of 1 to 6; and b is an integer of 1 to 12, preferably an integer of 1 to 4. The bis(perfluoroether carboxylic acid alkyl)amino ester having an amino group at the end of the ester group is produced by reacting a perfluoroether carboxylic acid fluoride compound of the formula: CnF2n+1O[CF(CF3)CF2O]aCF(CF3)COF and a bis(hydroxyalkyl)amine compound of the formula: HO(CH2)bNR(CH2)bOH at a molar ratio of 2:1 in the presence of an alkali metal fluoride.
