The position to be grabbed, the fitting position and the calibration position are separated from one another, and are all located within the coverage range of the projection of the movement trail of the mechanical arm on the platform. In one aspect, an elastically averaged alignment system is provided. The elastically averaged alignment system includes a first component having an alignment member, and a second component having an inner wall defining an alignment aperture. The alignment aperture includes an insertion portion, a retention portion, and a transition portion therebetween. The alignment member is configured for insertion into the alignment aperture insertion portion and translation thereafter through the alignment aperture transition portion into the alignment aperture retention portion. The alignment member is an elastically deformable material such that when the alignment member is inserted into part of the alignment aperture, the alignment member elastically deforms to an elastically averaged final configuration to facilitate aligning the first component relative to the second component in a desired orientation.

A nominally vertically disposed fence post comprises a wall defining an interior. A plurality of nominally horizontally disposed slots are located at equally spaced intervals along the length of the fence post and extend through the wall into the interior thereof. Selected slots receive fence wires therein. A keeper rod extends through the interior of the fence post between the wall and the fence wires to retain the fence wires in the slots. The first and second images are analyzed to determine a relative position of the reflected illumination pattern in the first image and the transmitted illumination pattern in the second image. Imaging system alignment parameters for use in aligning images captured with the first and second imaging systems are determined responsive to the determined relative position.

This invention relates to a hinge device (20) of a nacelle cowling of an aircraft engine (6) on a supporting structure, including two fittings as well as a link rod (34) connected thereto and mounted on the fitting (32) by means of an end connection (48). According to the invention, the link rod is also mounted on the fitting (32) by means of an intermediate connection (56) including a pivot pin (58) slidably housed in a hole (60), and the connection (48) includes a guide pin (50) slidably housed in a guide ramp (54), and the connections (48, 56) are designed so as to create, upon rotation of the link rod about the pin (58), a relative movement of the axis (50) in the ramp (54), simultaneously causing a relative movement of the pin (58) in the hole (54).

A pipe inspection system and method for accessing and inspecting a feeder tube extending from a larger header pipe at an angle are disclosed. A pipe inspection tool including a head piece and a delivery tube are positioned within the header pipe and aligned with the feeder tube using cameras or other alignment means. A fabrication method of a semiconductor package includes the steps of: providing a carrier having a concave portion and a releasing layer formed on a surface thereof; disposing a chip on the releasing layer in the concave portion; forming an encapsulant on the chip and the releasing layer; removing the releasing layer and the carrier; and forming a circuit structure on the encapsulant and the chip. The design of the concave portion facilitates alignment of the chip to prevent it from displacement, thereby improving the product reliability. A semiconductor package fabricated by the fabrication method is also provided.

An end retention system for a rolling shutter system is provided. The end retention system comprises a fastener that has a head and a shaft, and a washer that has an outer diameter and an aperture having an inner diameter. The inner diameter of the aperture of the washer is at least twice the diameter of the shaft of the fastener. The shaft is configured for insertion into a screw boss receptacle of a shutter slat. The end retention system may also comprise a guide track that has retention fins spaced apart a distance that is less than the outer diameter of the washer. The guide may include a channel that partially bounded by the retention fins. The channel may have a width that is greater than the outer diameter of the washer. The washer is located in the channel, and is retained near the slat by the head of the fastener.

Light field imaging systems, and in particular light field lenses that can be mated with a variety of conventional cameras (e.g., digital or photographic/film, image and video/movie cameras) to create light field imaging systems. The present invention is broadly concerned with novel directed self-assembly compositions, processes utilizing those compositions, and the resulting structures that are formed. The composition comprises a block copolymer of polystyrene and a polymethylmethacrylate block with polylactic acid side chains (“PS-b-P(MMA-LA)”). The block copolymer is capable of crosslinking and micro-phase separating into lines and spaces measuring about 10-nm or smaller with sub-20 nm L₀ capability. Additionally, PS-b-P(MMA-LA) can be thermally annealed without a top-coat for simpler processing than the prior art. The polylactic acid side chains also increase the etch rate of the poly(methylmethacrylate) block when exposed to oxygen plasma, as well as lower the T_g.

The invention relates to a temperature compensating circuit for an amplifier. The circuit comprises a voltage regulator, a component arrangement and a resistor coupling of at least two resistor units. At least part of the output voltage of the temperature compensating circuit is adjustable. The component arrangement includes at least one component with a known temperature dependency of voltage. The resistor coupling forms a slope coefficient as a ratio of values of the resistors in the resistor coupling. The resistor coupling is coupled to the a component arrangement in order to provide the temperature compensating circuit with an output voltage having a temperature dependency which is a function of the slope coefficient and the known temperature dependency of the component arrangement.

A reel assembly for a gaming machine is disclosed. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, alignment of the center lines of the symbols can be accomplished without the need to remove the reel assemblies from the gaming machine. The reel assembly includes a two piece motor mount assembly that carries a stepper motor and a lamp assembly. The two piece motor mount assembly includes a fixed mounting ring that is rigidly secured to a fixed reel assembly support and a rotatable mounting ring that is rotatable with respect to the fixed mounting ring.
