When a vehicle runs, the real-time position of the vehicle is positioned through the vehicle-mounted wireless terminal, the characteristic parameters in a storage device are called for being compared with real-time position information of the vehicle, and the road section where the vehicle-mounted wireless terminal is located is judged. The current speed of the vehicle is compared with the speed-limiting value of the road section where the vehicle is located, whether the vehicle is overspeed or not is judged, and overspeed information and position information of the vehicle-mounted wireless terminal are reported to the vehicle monitoring platform if the vehicle is overspeed. According to the vehicle subsection speed-limiting method, the characteristic parameters of the road sections are issued to the vehicle-mounted wireless terminal in advance to be stored, when the vehicle runs, only the stored characteristic parameters are required to be directly called for being compared with the real-time longitude, the real-time latitude and the real-time speed of the vehicle, vehicle overspeed monitoring on different road sections at any time can be accordingly achieved, influences of network signals are avoided, and accurate monitoring on the different road sections can be achieved.
