The total heat recovery multi-cycle multipurpose air conditioning unit comprises a refrigerant loop and a second water cycle loop, wherein the refrigerant loop comprises a compressor, a third heat exchanger, a first heat exchanger, a first one-way valve, a liquid storage pot, a filter, a second one-way valve, a first expansion valve, a second heat exchanger and a gas-liquid separator which are successively connected with one another; the outlet of the gas-liquid separator is connected with the inlet of the compressor, and the third heat exchanger is a water-cooled heat exchanger; and the second water cycle loop comprises the third heat exchanger, a water box and a second water pump which are connected with one another in series so as to form the loop. In summer refrigeration, the second water pump is opened, a more efficient refrigeration effect is provided, and meanwhile, heat is used for preparing hot water, namely free hot water is obtained; and in winter, the sequence of heating and hot water preparation can be changed through an automation procedure. Therefore, the air conditioning unit has many functions.
