Network node and a system

The invention is related to structures used for providing fault tolerance in computer data networks. According to the invention, fault tolerance is achieved by redundancy, i.e. by using at least two network nodes in parallel. The network nodes have at least two physical network interface to a network, only one of which is active during normal operation. In the case of two network nodes being used, both of these have two physical network interfaces to the same network. A first network interfaces on the first node has the same IP and MAC address as one interface on the second node, and the second network interface on the first node has the same IP and MAC address as the other interface on the second node. The IP and MAC addresses of the two interfaces of each node are different, whereby the two nodes provide a first IP address and a corresponding first MAC address, and a second IP address and a corresponding second MAC address. In normal operation, a first node of the two nodes handles traffic directed to the first IP address and ignores the traffic directed to the second IP address, and the second node handles traffic directed to the second IP address and ignores the traffic directed to the first IP address. The two nodes monitor each other for fault conditions, and if one of the nodes show signs of failure, the other node activates the other of its interfaces and starts handling traffic directed to both IP addresses.

Shaver provided with a shaving head having a sub-frame and a main frame

The invention relates to a shaving device which comprises a shaving head (1) having at least one cutting blade (5) and two skin-supporting members (11, 13), said cutting blade comprising a cutting edge (7) extending perpendicularly to a shaving direction (X) of the shaving head, and said skin-supporting members, viewed in the shaving direction, being arranged, respectively, in front of and behind said cutting blade, and defining a contact surface (17) between the shaving head and a skin surface (53) to be treated. The cutting blade and the skin-supporting members are mounted to a sub-frame (9), which is coupled to a main frame (19) and can be displaced with respect to said main frame against a spring force (FS).
According to the invention, the main frame comprises two further skin-supporting members (21, 23) which, viewed in the shaving direction, are arranged, respectively, in front of and behind the sub-frame and extend substantially in said contact surface. As a result, a contact force (FC) between the skin surface and the skin-supporting members of the sub-frame and hence a skin curvature (w2) between the skin-supporting members of the sub-frame, i.e. at the location of the cutting member, is mainly determined by the value of said spring force and, accordingly, substantially independent of a pressure force (FP) exerted by a user to press the shaving head against the skin surface.

Phase shifting network

A phase shifting network including a main power divider having a main input, first and second main outputs, and means for dividing power received at the main input between the first and second main outputs. A first differential phase shifter is provided. The first differential phase shifter has a first input, first and second outputs, and a first phase shift adjuster which can be moved to adjust the phase difference between the first and second outputs. The first input is connected to the first main output and the first differential phase shifter is configured to divide power from the first input between the first and second outputs. A second differential phase shifter is also provided. The second differential phase shifter has a second input, third and fourth outputs, and a second phase shift adjuster which can be moved to adjust the phase difference between the third and fourth outputs. The second input is connected to the second main output and the second differential phase shifter is configured to divide power from the second input between the third and fourth outputs. A control system is configured to drive the first phase shift adjuster and the second phase shift adjuster, such that the degree of adjustment of one of the phase shift adjusters is dependent upon the degree of adjustment of the other phase shift adjuster. The phase difference between the first and second outputs, the second and third outputs, and the first and fourth outputs is substantially equal.
