A base film to be a substrate in a liquid-crystal panel preferably has a thickness of 10 μm to 200 μm, a curvature radius of 40 mm or less as a measure of flexibility and a coefficient of thermal expansion of 50 ppm / ° C. or less. Furthermore, it more preferably gives a variation of ±5% or less in mechanical and optical properties to a thermal history at 200° C.

Torque sensor

A first shaft and a second shaft are connected coaxially. A torsion bar converts a torque applied between two shafts into a torsion displacement. A multipolar magnet is fixed to the first shaft. One set of magnetic yokes is fixed to the second shaft and disposed in a magnetic field generated by the multipolar magnet. One set of flux collecting rings is disposed along an outer surface of the set of magnetic yokes and opposed to each other via an air gap in an axial direction. A magnetic sensor is provided for detecting the density of magnetic flux generated in the air gap. An outer cylindrical surface of the set of flux collecting rings is surrounded by a magnetic shield.

Technique for configuring processors in system with logical partitions

Configuring processors in a target system includes' prompting a user to select workload units to use in the configuration, prompting the user to input a quantity of processing power required in terms of partition workload capacity required, obtaining a system work capacity for the target system in the appropriate units from a look-up table, and calculating the number of partition processors. The number of partition processors equals the total number of system processors, times the partition workload capacity divided by the system work capacity. The calculated number of partition processors is tested to see if it is within a predetermined percentage of the next full processor increment. If within the predetermined percentage, then using dedicated processors is recommended, otherwise using shared processors is recommended. The calculated number of partition processors and the recommended use of shared or dedicated processors is displayed to the user for validation or changing of the values. After validation, the processors are configured according to the settings determined by the routine.

The invention relates to a sensor and evaluation system for capturing data at a measuring station (3), in particular for use in double sensors for determining end positions and limit values. The individual sensors (1, 1', 2, 2', 16, 16') are operated as sensor pairs (1'', 2'', 16'') by a largely shared control circuit consisting of two connecting lines (5, 6) with an electric current or voltage of alternate polarity. A state of a sensor (1, 1', 2, 2', 16, 16') is transmitted on the corresponding half-wave of the sensor current and evaluated by a switching amplifier (13) in relation to polarity and amplitude. Said sensor and evaluation system reduces the number of connecting lines required. In addition, interference from neighboring sensors is largely excluded, so that sensors can be mounted more closely together in a system. Said sensor and evaluation system is especially suited for equipment required to comply with the DIN 19234 (NAMUR) standard.

The sterilizing apparatus further includes a controller 60 for controlling the locking device 52 to prevent the door 14 from being opened from start of the sterilization process to end of the decomposition process.

A particulate trap regeneration system has an exhaust pipe that is connected between an engine and a particulate trap and an air pump that is connected to the exhaust pipe near the engine. The exhaust pipe has a double-walled configuration where the exhaust travels within the pipe and air from the air pump travels within the space between the walls, capturing heat from the exhaust. This configuration also keeps the outside of the exhaust pipe cool, improving safety and durability.
