The invention relates to the field of solar cells, and discloses a hole transport layer, a preparation method thereof and a solar cell. The solar cell of the present invention uses a carboxylic acid anchored carbazolyl derivative as a hole transport material. According to the material, a hydrogen bond is formed through carboxyl and hydroxyl on the surface of ITO, and mild anchoring is achieved; and the anchoring capability between the self-assembled molecules and ITO is further enhanced by the dicarboxylic acid structure, and the hole extraction efficiency is improved. Carbazole derivative molecules have adjustable molecular dipoles, so that matching of a work function of a conductive substrate is facilitated, and carrier transport is improved; the molecular rigid conjugated structure can realize D-A separation, and is beneficial to enhancing the intramolecular charge transfer capability. In a wide-band-gap perovskite cell, the photoelectric conversion efficiency exceeds 20% and reaches 30.56% in a perovskite / crystalline silicon laminated cell, and the open-circuit voltage reaches 1.897 V. The carboxylic acid anchored carbazolyl derivative can form a compact film layer on the surface of textured silicon, and the shape-preserving covering capacity is improved.
