Vehicle operation assisting system

A vehicle operation assisting system includes an assist yaw rate calculator which calculates an assist yaw rate necessary to avoid an obstacle based on a detection result of the obstacle by a radar device, an actual vehicle moving amount calculator which calculates an actual vehicle moving amount from a yaw rate and a lateral acceleration of a vehicle. When an avoiding operation detector determines an avoiding operation of a driver, a target vehicle moving amount setting device replaces a standard moving amount based on an avoiding operation of a driver with the assist yaw rate, and a vehicle movement controller controls lateral movement of the vehicle so that the actual vehicle moving amount agrees with the assist yaw rate. At this time, in addition to the yaw rate, the lateral acceleration is also used for calculating the actual vehicle moving amount, and therefore an upset of the vehicle behavior can be avoided by properly controlling the lateral movement of the vehicle on a road having a low friction coefficient on which the tires easily skid. A vehicle operation assisting system capable of properly performing an obstacle avoiding operation and a restoring operation even on a road having a low friction coefficient is thereby provided.

A disposable brief is provided with exterior front and rear pockets to receive and hold in position thermal packs, either hot or cold, at locations such as the lower abdomen, the crotch, the anal area or the lower back. The preferred brief is inexpensive and universal in that it may be worn by both males and females and is readily adjustable in size to fit various sizes of waists, hips or legs to reduce the inventory needed by an institution. The preferred disposable brief is in the form of a diaper that has a rear portion or panel that may be slid under a prone patient's back, a crotch portion that may be pulled between the patient's legs, a front portion or panel that may be positioned over the lower abdomen and securable hip or waist portions such as adjustable straps to secure the brief to the patient and retain the thermal packs in position for a patient in bed or for a patient when ambulatory. The pockets are easily opened and the cold or hot packs may be easily inserted or removed from difficult locations such as behind a patient's back. The preferred brief is reversible so that what would be the rear portion can be positioned as a front portion on the patient, usually for the purpose of locating the pocket on the rear portion at a particular location on the abdomen to apply heat or cold to this location. The illustrated brief may have two or three pockets which are located at the crotch, a rear portion and/or a front portion of the brief. In other embodiments, an absorbent pad such as a sanitary pad is provided for use with the disposable brief. A hot or cold pad may be inserted into a pocket of the disposable brief having the sanitary pad to alleviate cramping if it occurs during the menstrual period. In a still further embodiment, an inexpensive brief or panty has an integral sanitary pad with the used brief and pad being discarded after a single usage thereof.

Preparation method for multi-component net-shaped nanofiber membrane

The invention relates to a preparation method for a multi-component net-shaped nanofiber membrane. The preparation method includes the detailed steps that step1, mixing and beating are performed on meta-position aramid fibers, halogen salt and organic solvent by the mass ratio of 1:0.004-0.4:2.996-18.6, and a meta-position aramid fiber solution is prepared through mixing; step2, functionality high-molecular polymers and the solvent are mixed by the mass ratio of 1:5.4-98.99, then nano-particles are added, and heating and mixing are performed to prepare a functionality high-molecular solution, wherein the mass fraction of the nano-particles in the solution is 0.01-5%; step3, the meta-position aramid fiber solution obtained in the step1 and the functionality high-molecular solution obtained in the step2 are mixed by the mass ratio of 1:0.05-0.5 in a dripping mode, and then ultrasonic treatment is performed to obtain a spinning solution; step4, under the conditions of 20 DEG C-30 DEG C indoor temperature and 20-70% relative humidity, the spinning solution is used for electrostatic spinning, and finally the multi-component net-shaped nanofiber membrane with a 5nm-20nm net-shaped nanofiber diameter and reaches over 95% in net-shaped structure coverage rate is obtained. The preparation technology is simple and low in cost, tensile strength of material reaches 100MPa-2000MPa, and the functionality advantage is remarkable.

Testing system for drivetrain

Provided is a testing system for a drivetrain, the testing system capable of simulating the slip behavior of a tire. A testing system is provided with: tire speed calculation units; a vehicle speed calculation unit; vehicle driving torque calculation units which calculate vehicle driving torque values; and speed control devices which output command signals such that the deviations between command values and output values from encoders are eliminated, respectively. The tire speed calculation units calculate the tire speed values on the basis of tire driving torque values obtained by subtracting the vehicle driving torque values from output values from shaft torque meters, respectively, and the vehicle speed calculation unit calculates the vehicle speed value on the basis of the vehicle driving torque values.

Window covering with improved anchor for operating cord

A covering for an architectural opening includes a head rail, a bottom rail, and a blind material extending therebetween in addition to an operating element or lift cord extending from the head rail to the bottom rail and an improved anchoring system for securing the lower free end of the lift cord to the bottom rail. The anchor includes a body adapted to be inserted into an opening in the bottom rail with the body having radiating ribs at one end defining passages therebetween such that the lift cord can be selectively wrapped around the ribs in a predetermined manner to secure the lift cord to the anchor at a predetermined location along the length of the lift cord. A cap is provided on the anchor for further securing the cord to the body by pinching the cord between the cap and an internal surface of the body.

Tilt-up anchor and anchor pocket form

An improved, lightweight, portable, and self-contained concrete form for fabricating tilt-up concrete walls is provided. The form includes a frame made from metal frame members jointed at their ends with the frame members forming the sides of the frame. Optional structural anchors may be attached inside the frame members. The frame members may be channel shaped with their channels facing inwardly. The reinforcing mat comprising a array of crisscrossed rebars is disposed within the frame and is held in place with a plurality of brackets on the ends of at least some of the rebars and welded to respective frame members. The rebar mat is sized to be positioned in the mid portion of the frame and the brackets on the ends of the rebars are slid outwardly into and attached to the frame members by spot welding. The brackets are then spot welded to the ends of their rebars to form a rigid, lightweight concrete frame. The frame may be shipped to a job site, laid on a casting surface, a pocket form placed inside the optional anchor, and filled with concrete. When the concrete cures, the resulting concrete wall, form and all, is tilted-up into place with a crane and may be attached with the anchor to form a section of a concrete wall.

Pin tray dental prostheses modeling system with re-usable tray

A dental prostheses modeling system includes a re-usable tray having in an upper part thereof a trough for receiving a semi-liquid casting material such as plaster of Paris or die stone, the trough having opposed vertical walls in which are formed alternating vertically disposed ribs and grooves for molding complementary shaped grooves and ribs in opposed sides of the base of a dental model casting molded in said tray. The trough has a base frame which overlies an upwardly concave lower cavity for receiving liquid die stone after the casting base has solidified, hardened and been removed. The base frame has therethrough an elongated aperture joining the upper trough to the lower cavity. A resilient insert is removably lodged in the base frame aperture to form therewith a liquid-tight seal, whereupon liquid die stone is poured into the upper trough to form the base of a dental model casting. After the casting has hardened, the insert is removed, and pins are fitted into selected portions of the cast base. The tray is then inverted to receive liquid die stone which hardens to form a stone base matrix for insertably receiving pins protruding from the casting base. The casting is then severed into segments which are releasably re-engageable along with adjacent portions of the casting within the tray, proper registration between segments of the casting being effected by insertable receipt of pins within holes formed in the matrix during hardening thereof, and engagement between ribs and grooves of the casting segment bases with complementarily-shaped grooves and ribs in the inner side walls of the upper tray trough.
