Serviceability framework for an autonomic data centre

There is provided a data processing system-implemented method, system and an article of manufacture for providing a serviceability framework for autonomic resource management in a computer data centre. The data centre is monitored based on a logical representation (model) in the serviceability framework representative of the actual physical devices. The data centre logical model is constantly synchronized with the physical devices of the actual data centre where inconsistencies occur, and fast reporting is required before more problems occur. Monitoring agents associated with all the data centre devices are implemented to quickly identify and deal with problems before human intervention is required. A data centre health monitor is capable of detecting the malfunctions of typical devices and sub-systems in the data centre. For problems or failures that require drastic steps, the subsystem may be isolated and then interrogated separately from the rest of the data centre. Interruptions may be avoided by cloning a designated portion of the data centre systems for off-line trouble-shooting, thereby saving the systems from shutting down totally. A robust set of messages and trace logs including current operational status and health of the data centre may be provided for further diagnostic problem determination.

Local coloring for hierarchical opc

A method for designing a mask for fabricating an integrated circuit is provided wherein a mask layout that requires coloring, such as for alternating phase shift, double-exposure and double-exposure-etch masks, is organized into uncolored hierarchical design units. Prior to modification by OPC, each hierarchical design unit is locally colored. OPC is then performed on the locally colored hierarchical design unit. The local coloring information for the hierarchically arranged OPC-modified design unit may be discarded. After OPC modification, the uncolored OPC-modified design units may be placed within the mask layout, and the flattened data may be colored. Thus, turnaround time for mask design is significantly improved since the numerically intensive OPC is performed on the hierarchical data, avoiding the need to perform OPC on flattened data, whereas the less intensive global coloring is performed on flattened data.

Determining incompatibilities of automated test cases with modified user interfaces

An aspect of the present disclosure determines incompatibilities of automated test cases with modified user interfaces. In one embodiment, a mapping data between test cases in a test suite and user interface (UI) elements in the user interfaces of an application (tested using said test suite) is maintained, with mapping data indicating for each test case, the corresponding UI elements that the test case is designed to test. In response to receiving a modified (version of the) application that is to be tested with the same test suite, a set of UI elements (of the application) that are defective in the user interfaces of the modified application is found. Test cases that would fail are then identified based on the mapping data and the set of defective UI elements. The identified test cases are then reported as having incompatibility with the user interfaces of the modified application.

Method of measuring total vascular hemoglobin mass

A method of measuring total vascular hemoglobin mass. One step of the method is to store a volume of fluid to be injected using a processor. A hemoglobin value is measured in vivo on a substantially continuous basis. The method also measures a total circulating vascular volume based on the volume of fluid to be injected by detecting a change in blood concentration over a period of time upon injection of a fluid into a body. The total hemoglobin mass is calculated based on the measured hemoglobin value and the measured total circulating vascular volume.
