Application of alpha-ketoglutaric acid and alpha-ketoglutarate in preparation of feed additive capable of improving pig carcass composition

The invention discloses an application of alpha-ketoglutaric acid and alpha-ketoglutarate taken as a feed additive capable of improving pig carcass composition or in preparation of the feed additive capable of improving the pig carcass composition. The improvement of the pig carcass composition refers to increase of a pork loin area, pig slaughtering rate and pig lean meat percentage and decrease of fat deposition, pig backfat thickness and/or pig abdominal fat weight. The study shows that by addition of alpha-ketoglutaric acid (or alpha-ketoglutarate) to pig feed, the pork loin area and the lean meat percentage can be remarkably increased, meanwhile, the fat deposition level is reduced, and the energy redistribution effect is realized. Besides, alpha-ketoglutaric acid (or alpha-ketoglutarate) does not have any adverse impact or toxic and side effects on pig growth performance and health, so that the pig feed capable of improving the pig carcass composition is prepared and the breeding benefit is increased on the premise that the growth is not limited in a pig raising process. Meanwhile, alpha-ketoglutaric acid (or alpha-ketoglutarate) and the additive thereof can be directly added to a premix compound and are convenient and fast to use, the preparation method is simple, requirements for special equipment are avoided, and good popularization and application prospect is realized.

The present invention provides for a direct correlation between the rate of a feed conversion in livestock animals and the presence of alleles of a gene encoding an adipocyte-specific polypeptide, termed leptin, which gene is hereinafter referred to as ob. The invention also provides novel compositions consisting essentially of specific oligonucleotides that are useful as primers to amplify particular regions of the genome during enzymatic nucleic acid amplification, thus providing a rapid, sensitive and specific method for the detection of the ob-gene polymorphism which may be present in a specimen. The invention further provides for methods of screening bovine to determine those having predictably more uniform fat deposition and advantageously selecting those livestock for future breeding and management purposes based on the ob polymorphisms.

Ackermansiella muciniphila microecological preparation and application thereof in laying hens

The invention discloses an Ackermania muciniphila microecological preparation and an application of the Ackermania muciniphila microecological preparation in laying hens. Three micro-ecological microbial agents, including a viable bacterium agent, a pasteurization bacterium agent and a freeze-dried powder bacterium agent, are drenched to the hyline brown laying hens and added into feed, and the result shows that the microbial agents of the ackermansiella muciniphila can reduce the increase of blood fat and liver fat levels caused by high-fat diet of the hyline brown laying hens, so that the content of the ackermansiella muciniphila in the hyline brown laying hens is increased, and the content of the ackermansiella muciniphila in the hyline brown laying hens is increased. In-vivo fat deposition is reduced, and the egg quality is improved. The Ackermania muciniphila microecological preparation (microbial inoculum) provided by the invention is comprehensive in function, non-toxic and harmless, and the pasteurization inactivated bacteria microbial inoculum, the freeze-dried powder microbial inoculum and the viable bacteria microbial inoculum have the same action effect in the aspects of preventing/relieving fatty liver of laying hens and improving egg quality, and have greater advantages in the aspects of storage and addition modes. The invention provides a basis for the Ackermania muciniphila as a novel microecological preparation in the laying hen breeding industry.
