Automatic alarm unit for highway accidents

Disclosed is an automatic alarm unit for highway accidents. Wireless signal receivers are disposed at entries and medians of a highway at certain intervals. Outputs of the wireless signal receivers are connected with an input end of a controller. A wireless signal transmitter is arranged in each vehicle and operates under the same frequency as the wireless signal receivers. Each wireless signal transmitter is provided with a unique address code and constantly transmits an address code signal out, and the transmitting distance is smaller than one half of the distance between the two wireless signal receivers. The controller determines identity and location of each vehicle according to received address code. Alarm signal lamps are disposed on each median of the highway at certain intervals and are connected with an output end of the controller. When one wireless signal receiver receives the address code signal of the vehicle, next controller is informed of starting timing. When the set time is up and the wireless signal receives no address code signal of the vehicle, the controller turns on the alarm signal lamps behind the vehicle to inform following vehicles to slow down and stop. The automatic alarm unit for highway accidents can be used for detecting occurrence of vehicle accidents and the vehicles running at the speed smaller than the safety speed, and timely sends out alarm signals to reduce rear-end collisions of vehicles.
