This paper describes cobalt-platinum intermetallic compounds confined to a nitrogen-doped carbon framework, their preparation methods, and applications, belonging to the technical field of ethanol electrocatalytic catalyst preparation. In the synthesis of ZIF-67, platinum salts are added to encapsulate it within the dodecahedron of ZIF-67 to obtain Pt / ZIF-67, which is then annealed at high temperature in a mixed gas atmosphere to obtain CoPt3-NC. In the ethanol electrocatalytic oxidation (EOR) reaction, it exhibits good catalytic activity and stability, including lower overpotential, smaller Tafel slope, higher current density, and lower charge transfer resistance. This is because this method can effectively disperse CoPt3 nanoparticles on the nitrogen-doped carbon framework, preventing agglomeration and dissolution, thus exposing more active sites.
