The emulsion base material is compounded by 2-3 emulsions with different Tgs; the using amounts of the heating-expansible organic hollow filling material and the organic foaming agent respectively account for, on a weight basis, 0.3%-5% and 0.1%-5% of the total amount of the waterborne damping coating. The thick paste coating prepared in the invention has a damping value of 0.06-0.15 at 20-60 DEG C; the coating has a micropore structure,can prevent film defects such as chaps, cracks, needle eyes, expansion and the like caused by the coating, can form a film with a thickness of 3-6 mm by coating once, and is applicable to the coatingof vibration parts of various vehicles and motor products so as to inhibit vibration and reduce noise.
