An M code envelope detector receives an incoming binary offset carrier (BOC) signal, such as the M code signal, and generates inphase BOC and quadraphase BOC signals, separated by an offset, that have respective ambiguous correlation envelopes, that when combined, provide a near unimodal correlation function with respect to code phase error of the BOC signal having an inherent multimodal autocorrelation function, with the near unimodal correlation envelope being tracked by early and late code replicas at broad one chip phases for providing unambiguous but nonlinear code phase error tracking, which detector is then further improved with the use of code replicas having narrow partial chip phases, such as ⅛ chip phases, for providing near linear code phase error tracking for unambiguous and accurate code tracking of the BOC signal.

There is provided a power amplifier capable of supplying variable bias to an amplifier circuit by accurately transferring the envelope components of an input signal during the supply of active bias power to the amplifier circuit. The power amplifier includes: an envelope detector detecting an envelope of an input signal; a bias power generator including at least one P-type MOSFET and one N-type MOSFET connected to each other in an inverter manner between a driving power terminal supplying driving power having a preset voltage level and a reference bias power terminal supplying preset reference bias power to generate bias power varied according to detection results from the envelope detector; and an amplifier amplifying the input signal according to the bias power level from the bias power generator.

The invention is composed of a transducer including plural elements for sending an ultrasonic wave and receiving the reflected ultrasonic wave, analog to digital converters that digitize plural received signals, first mixers that respectively multiply a signal from the converter and a first digital reference signal, first filters that respectively extract a signal having a predetermined center frequency from a signal from each first mixer, digital delay units that respectively delay a signal from each first filter, an adder that adds plural signals from the digital delay units, and a second mixer that multiplies a signal from the adder and a second digital reference signal. An envelope detector detects a signal from the second mixer, and a scan converter converts a signal from the detector to a picture signal for display, so the pass band of the filter is not required to be changed.

A predistortion power amplifier architecture has a power amplifier which receives an input via an amplitude modulator and a phase modulator. A sample of the output of the amplifier and a sample of the input to the amplifier are applied to an adaptive pre-distorter subsystem. The adaptive pre-distorter generates a gain correction signal which is applied to the amplitude modulator and a phase correction signal which is applied to the phase modulator. The squelch detection circuit of the invention includes a differential input level shifter, a first reference voltage generator, an amplifier, a second reference voltage generator, and a comparator. The squelch detection circuit can detect whether the transmission data is a noise or signal element even at a cross point of the transmission data, resulting in achieving stable data transmission.
