The yield of the Xiang C176 obtained by the invention is far higher than that of sea island cotton, and the insect-resistant upland long stapled cotton can be demonstrated and popularized in national main cotton planting areas, thereby increasing the self-supply ability of the long stapled cotton in China, and increasing the market competitiveness of high-grade raw cotton.

The preparation method of the modified soil containing the hydraulic fill sand makes full use of the hydraulic fill sand which is abundant in hydraulic reclamation land areas; and moreover, the prepared modified soil containing the hydraulic fill sand is large in pore size, high in permeability and possessed of certain organic matters (biological residues). Therefore, modified soil containing the hydraulic fill sand prepared by the preparation method has higher air permeability, as well as higher water conservation performance and fertilizer conservation performance, compared with common red soil; and thus, the modified soil containing the hydraulic fill sand is capable of achieving good cultivation effects. The preparation method of the modified soil containing the hydraulic fill sandis capable of greatly decreasing dosage of common red soil, reducing transportation cost of cultivation soil, and improving self-sufficiency performance of the cultivation soil in the hydraulic reclamation areas; and thus, cost can be greatly reduced while being environmentally friendly.
