The container manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing a composite container by making a film (FL) tightly adhered to the inner surface of a container (10) having a
flange portion protruding outward from the periphery of the opening. The method includes the following steps: a step of receiving the container (10) in a concave first forming mold (20); a step of moving a second forming mold (30) to the first forming mold (20), the second forming mold (30) being configured to face the first forming mold (20) and having a protrusion (34) disposed on the outer periphery of the
flange portion when the container (10) is received in the first forming mold (20); a step of holding the film (FL) between the first forming mold (20) and the second forming mold (30); a step of making the held film (FL) tightly adhered to the inner surface of the container (10) by means of a
pressure difference; and a step of melting the film (FL) by means of the protrusion (34).
