The invention discloses a measuring method for additive manufacturing powder bed quality. The cylinder bottom of a powder feeding cylinder is controlled by a motor unit to rise by one unit height, thebottom of a forming cylinder is lowered by one unit height, and a powder paving roller moves from the powder feeding cylinder to the forming cylinder to pave a layer of powder to form a powder bed; and the powder paving roller conducts powder paving layer by layer, a light source emitter continuously projects light sources with different pitches onto the surface of the powder bed, a camera is used for collecting images of the light sources, an image processing and display system constructs a three-dimensional shape of the surface of the powder bed through image information collected by the camera, according to the three-dimensional shape of the surface of the powder bed, a mathematical statistics method is used for calculating the mean, the standard deviation, the degree of asymmetry andthe peak value, and then the powder bed quality is represented. The measuring method is simple, reliable and convenient to operate, can quantitatively represent the powder bed quality, and helps to improve the additive manufacturing powder bed quality.
