The first memory riser board has a plurality of first memory modules mounted on the front surface thereof and the second memory riser board has a plurality of second memory modules mounted on the front surface thereof. The first and second memory riser boards are arranged in such a way that the back surface of the first memory riser board faces the back surface of the second memory riser board. A hollow cathode sputtering apparatus and related method for introducing dopants into a sputtered coating is provided. The method utilizes a sputter reactor which includes a cathode channel that allows a gas stream to flow therein and a flow exit end from which gases may flow out of and towards a substrate to be coated. The cathode channel as used in the invention is defined by a channel defining surface that includes at least one target material. The sputter reactor further includes a dopant target positioned to provide dopant atoms to the gas stream when the gas stream is flowed through the cathode channel.

Splitboard boot bindings for backcountry splitboarding. Each of a pair of soft-boot bindings is provided with an integral boot binding lower that conjoins the two halves of a splitboard without the additional weight or height of an adaptor mounting plate, upper binding baseplate or “tray”, and extra fasteners of the prior art. The boot binding lower is formed as a box girder and provides improved torsional stiffness for splitboard riding. A method and apparatus for transferring AC electrical power to a load from a first power source to a second power source provides for a time delay in the transfer to avoid problems associated with differences in the phases between the power sources. The phase of the voltage waveform from each power source is sensed continuously, and the phase difference is known at all times, so that it can be used when the transfer is necessary. The method and apparatus monitors the voltage from the first power source, and initiates the transfer from the first power source to the second power source in response to an unacceptable condition from the first power source. The second power source is connected only after waiting for a period of time corresponding to the appropriate time delay. By avoiding instantaneous transfers and providing for a delay in the switching to a secondary power source, the present invention avoids the problems associated with transformer saturation, and the resulting draw of a large amount of current from the power source that can cause upstream circuit breakers to trip open, and uninterruptible power systems and engine generators to malfunction.

The gradual switching off is carried out in particular by changing the brightness limiting values, the contrast limiting values and/or by increasing or reducing the noise of the image data to be represented. Furthermore, the gradual switching off preferably has a time-dependent or velocity-dependent profile. This device ensures that the vehicle with the device operates in a very safe way for the user.

The amount of simultaneous switching noise generated through the operation of a programmable device can be reduced by reducing the number of pins switching at the same time. An I/O bank can include a number of I/O pin subsets, or DQS groups, each programmed to switch at a different time so that the switching times of the various pins can be staggered for each system clock cycle.
