A system and method capable of performing multiple types of non-invasive tomographic techniques. The system is capable, via electronic control, of detecting and imaging materials within a volume using electrical capacitance, displacement phase current, magnetic inductance, and magnetic pressure sensing. The system is also able to control the amplitude, phase, and frequency of individual electrode excitation to increase imaging resolution and phase detection. This allows many dimensions of non-invasive data to be captured without the need for multiple instruments or moving parts, at a high data capture rate.

A device for measuring a motion of a moving electrically conducting body is disclosed. A magnetic field generated by, for example, electromagnets or permanent magnets, penetrates at least a partial area of the moving body. Two or more measuring devices are arranged outside the magnetic field to measure a measurement magnetic field that is induced by electrical currents in the moving body. The measuring devices are arranged essentially symmetrically with respect to the magnetic field generating means or the moving body. The measurement magnetic field represents at least one motion variable of the moving body. The measuring device is thereby no longer subjected to the temperature-dependent variations of the exciting field.

A system for capture of dose delivery information is provided. The system includes a medication delivery device, a dose information capture device adapted to be attached to the medication delivery device, and a target element adapted to be attached to the medication delivery device. The target element comprises a magnet or ferrous element and the target element attaches to the medication delivery device on a dose delivery mechanism of the medication delivery device. The dose information capture device includes a magnetic position sensor adapted to detect a position of the target element. As an alternative to magnetic sensing, MEMS flow sensors, and the like may also be used. Exemplary systems preferably transmit dose information in real time to remote devices for further processing.

A magnetic sensing element with improved magnetic detection output and a method for making the same are provided. In the magnetic sensing element, the length of an upper pinned magnetic layer an upper antiferromagnetic layer in a track width direction is larger than the length of a free magnetic layer in the track width direction. The present invention provides a current measuring apparatus having an improved structure to inhibit the possible adverse effect of a current in a different phase and the possible generation of an induced electromotive force caused by a measurement target current, enabling the measurement target current to be accurately detected even with the small size of the apparatus. The current measuring apparatus includes a printed circuit board 1 having Hall elements 2a, 2b and a signal processing integrated circuit 3 mounted thereon, the Hall elements 2a, 2b sensing a magnetic field generated by a current flowing through a current measurement target bus bar 4a, the signal processing integrated circuit 3 processing sensing outputs from the Hall elements 2a, 2b to calculate a value for the current flowing through the bus bar 4a.
