163 results about "Subharmonic" patented technology

In music and dynamics, subharmonic or undertone frequencies are frequencies below the main frequency of a signal. Subharmonic frequencies are frequencies below the fundamental frequency of an oscillator in a ratio of 1/n, with n a positive integer number. For example, if the fundamental frequency of an oscillator is 440 Hz, sub-harmonics include 220 Hz and 110 Hz. Thus, they are a mirror image of the harmonic series, the undertone series. Subharmonics can be produced by signal amplification through loudspeakers. They are naturally produced by bells, giving them their distinct sound. String quartets by composers George Crumb and Daniel James Wolf as well as works by violinist and composer Mari Kimura require string instrument players to bow with sufficient pressure that the strings vibrate causing the sound waves to modulate and demodulate by the instruments resonating horn with frequencies corresponding to subharmonics. The tritare, a guitar with Y shaped strings, cause subharmonics too. This can also be achieved by the extended technique of crossing two strings as some experimental jazz guitarists have developed.

Microwave self-phasing antenna arrays for secure data transmission & satellite network crosslinks

A high-directivity transponder system uses a dual system of a retrodirective array transmitting a data signal peak toward an interrogator source, and a self-null-steering array transmitting a null toward the interrogator source and a jamming signal elsewhere, resulting in high S / N reception at the interrogator source and avoidance of interception. Integrating modulators would allow each array to transmit different data while the spectra of the transmitted signals are identical, thus disabling interception. The system enables secure point-to-point communications and can be used for short-distance wireless data transmission systems such as wireless LAN and RFID servers. As another aspect, self-steering signal transmission is employed for randomly oriented satellites using circularly polarized, two-dimensional retrodirective arrays. Quadruple subharmonic mixing is used as an effective means of achieving phase conjugation when a high-frequency LO is not feasible or inapplicable. These features may be used for small-satellite communications, secure tactical communications, search and rescue, enemy location fixing and tracking, UAV command and control, forest fire detection, marine-based tracking, and many other applications requiring secure communications with high signal directivity.

Fault line selection method of low current grounding system using time-frequency atom decomposition theory

ActiveCN102854437AGood localization propertiesAccurate quantitative starting and ending timeFault locationUltrasound attenuationDecomposition
The invention provides a fault line selection method of a low current grounding system using a time-frequency atom decomposition theory. The method comprises the following steps of: based on the time-frequency atom decomposition theory, performing sparse decomposition on zero-sequence current data in a Gabor over-complete dictionary, and then obtaining matched attenuation sinusoidal quantity atoms through optimizing and solving relevant parameters. By the time-frequency atom decomposition method, the disturbance characteristics such as start/stop moments, amplitudes, frequencies and change rules of fundamental wave and each subharmonic can be exactly obtained, and interference signals can be effectively filtered. Energy entropies of the atoms decomposed by time-frequency atoms are arranged from large to small; except from the zero-sequence transient current fundamental wave atom, atom phase angles (polarity) similar with zero-sequence current frequency of each line are compared; if the atom phase angle (polarity) similar with the zero-sequence transient frequency of the line is opposite to that of other lines, the line is the fault line; and if the atom phase angle (polarity) of each line is the same, the fault is bus fault, and the fault line is determined by the comparison result of each frequency phase angle.

Wireless terminal transceiver of 60GHz RoF (Radio over Fiber) access system

The invention discloses a wireless terminal transceiver of a 60GHz RoF (Radio over Fiber) access system. Secondary subharmonic frequency mixing is adopted, and the frequency of a needed local oscillation signal is reduced in a frequency multiplication frequency mixing way, so that the problem of leakage of the local oscillation signal to an antenna, i.e., a radiofrequency transmitting end in the conventional wireless terminal transceiver scheme is solved, and the circuit modulation performance is improved. Meanwhile, a downlink medium frequency analog signal obtained after secondary subharmonic down-conversion is subjected to downlink medium frequency digital signal processing after ADC (Analog to Digital Conversion) to obtain a needed downlink digital baseband signal; and an uplink digital baseband signal is subjected to uplink medium frequency digital signal processing to obtain an uplink medium frequency digital signal. A series of medium frequency digital signal processing such as odd-even extraction or interpolation, symbol modulation, delay filtering, demodulation or modulation and the like is performed in a digital domain, so that the problem of IQ orthogonal mismatch caused by 90-degree phase change on a local oscillation signal for obtaining two paths of analog signals in an analog frequency domain of the conventional receiver is solved.
