Semiconductor Device and Method of Manufacturing the Same

The present invention discloses a semiconductor device, comprising a substrate, a plurality of gate stack structures on the substrate, a plurality of gate spacer structures on both sides of each gate stack structure, a plurality of source and drain regions in the substrate on both sides of each gate spacer structure, the plurality of gate spacer structures comprising a plurality of first gate stack structures and a plurality of second gate stack structures, wherein each of the first gate stack structures comprises a first gate insulating layer, a first work function metal layer, a second work function metal diffusion blocking layer, and a gate filling layer, the work function is close to the valence band (conduction band) edge; each of the second gate stack structures comprises a second gate insulating layer, a modified first work function metal layer, a second work function metal layer, and a gate filling layer, characterized in that the second work function metal layer comprises implanted work function-regulating doped ions, which are simultaneously diffused to the first work function layer below to regulate the threshold such that the work function of the gate is close to the valence band (conduction band) edge and is opposite the original first work function, to thereby regulate the work function accurately.

Automated pest misting system with pump

The present invention is directed to a system and method for safely and for efficient controlling adult populations of flying pests. A self-contained reservoir system for automated misting of pesticides (as opposed to merely spraying) is disclosed which can be operated in remote location without the availability of line power or pressurized water. The present automated spraying system comprises a secure controller unit with locking features, and a plurality of dispersing elements attached to the unit. Enclosed within the weatherproof and secure enclosure of the unit is a controller, pump, pesticide reservoir and power source for delivering controlled amounts of a pesticide mixture to the dispersing elements. The pump is capable of producing pressures sufficient for producing a mist from the dispersing elements. The pesticide reservoir holds pre-measured and premixed pesticide that can be used for direct treatment of an area. A misting schedule is entered into the controller, or timer. At the predetermined misting times, the controller completes the circuit between the battery and pump, thereby energizing the pump and causing the pesticide mixture to be pumped into the dispersing elements. The unit may be fitted with safety and efficiency components that automatically discontinue the misting cycles if someone is present in the area, weather conditions are not optimal, a fault is detected or pest activity is not favorable for a treatment.

Abstract of the Disclosure
Disclosed is an apparatus and method for modulating radiation having one or more predetermined properties, the apparatus and method including a waveguide structure having a mechanism for controllably influencing the one or more predetermined properties to modulate an emitted intensity. A radiation wave intensity modulator includes a first element for producing a wave component from a radiation wave, the wave component having a polarization property wherein the polarization property is selected from one of an orthogonal set of polarizations; an optical transport for receiving the wave component; a transport influencer, operatively coupled to the optical transport, for affecting the polarization property of the wave component responsive to a control signal; and a second element for interacting with the affected wave component wherein an intensity of the wave component is varied responsive to the control signal. A radiation wave intensity modulating method, the method includes producing a wave component from a radiation wave, the wave component having a polarization property wherein the polarization property is selected from one of an orthogonal set of polarizations (e.g., one of a right hand circular polarization or a left hand circular polarization); receiving the wave component; affecting the polarization property of the wave component responsive to a control signal; and interacting with the affected wave component wherein an intensity of the wave component is varied responsive to the control signal.
