A system for solar energy utilization is described. The system comprises a solar receiver, a solar energy concentrator mounted on a pole extending from the solar receiver along the main axis of the system, and a solar tracking system. The solar receiver is configured for receiving solar energy from the sun and concentrating the received solar energy at a predetermined spot area. The solar receiver includes a plurality of flexible mirrors independent of each other and radially arranged around a main axis of the system. The flexible mirrors are configured to be either deployed for operation or collapsed, for example for transportation or in the cases of possible damage of the system. The solar energy concentrator is located at the predetermined spot area in which the solar energy reflected from said plurality of flexible mirrors is concentrated, and configured for converting the concentrated reflected energy into electric energy. The solar tracking system is configured for sensing position of the sun and tilting the system for directing the solar receiver towards the sun to receive and reflect maximum sunlight onto the predetermined spot area.

A truck mounted attenuator (TMA) is constructed to minimize length during use in a horizontal position and height in a vertical transport position, as well as to minimize wind resistance and buffeting at highway speeds. A modular construction is employed, so that only damaged portions of the TMA can be removed and replaced in the field after a vehicle impact. The TMA comprises a plurality of outwardly curved tubular structural members which are designed to buckle upon application to the TMA of forces resulting from vehicular impact. The rigid tubes buckle at a high initial force, then proceed to crush at a lower force once the sides have buckled outwardly sufficiently to protect vehicle occupants during the critical first two feet of travel after impact. This design also provides increased protection for errant vehicles which impact the TMA device from an angle (i.e. “coffin corner” impact).

Meanwhile, in order to improve the capability of the convolutional neural network for utilizing the three-dimensional space context information, a multi-view separation convolution module is introduced, the context information is extracted from the multi-view sub-images of a three-dimensional image by using a plurality of two-dimensional convolution, and the multi-level fusion is carried out, so that the extractionand fusion of the multi-view and the multi-scale context information are realized, and the segmentation precision of the skeleton in the three-dimensional CT image is improved. The average accuracy of the improved network structure is obviously improved, and the number of model parameters is obviously reduced.

Modularized system and method for urea production using a bio-mass feedstock

A modular system and method for producing urea from bio-mass includes cleaning a bio-mass feedstock to remove substantially all non-organic matter; blending the cleaned bio-mass to obtain a substantially homogeneous blend; pelletizing the blended bio-mass; and gasifying the pellets in a gasifier. The bio-mass feedstock may include bio-mass materials having different processing characteristics. The gasifying step preferably includes pulverizing the pellets to a fine particle size, injecting an organic oil into the input biomass mist when needed, and controlling the feed rate to maintain a substantially constant burn temperature. The resultant syngas stream is cleaned and compressed to a high pressure of about 6,000 to 7,000 psi. The resultant ammonia stream is processed in a bypass recycling loop system at 30% conversion rate at a high pressure of about 6,000 to 7,000 psi.
