System and method for treating biological tissue with a plasma gas discharge

Devices and methods for treating biological tissue using a plasma gas-discharge are disclosed herein. An electrode for igniting a gas flow to form a plasma gas-discharge, wherein the electrode is configured within the device such that upon encountering a surface of the biological tissue by the electrode, a path of current from the electrode to the surface of the biological tissue is formed, thereby igniting the gas flow and forming the plasma gas-discharge. In some embodiments, electromagnetic interactions between the treated biological tissue and the plasma gas discharge traversing the electromagnetic interaction gap shape the profile of the plasma gas discharge. According to some embodiments, the device includes an electrode for igniting gas of the gas flow, and electromagnetic interactions between the electrode and the skin determine, at least in part, the electromagnetic interactions that shape the profile of the plasma gas discharge. In some embodiments, the device further includes a housing for providing support for the electrode, wherein the electrode is disposed relative to the housing such that the electrode is substantially electrically unshielded by the housing, and the electrode is positioned to electromagnetically interact with a surface of the biological tissue to shape, at least in part, the plasma profile. According to some embodiments, the presently disclosed device includes a dual-purpose nozzle-electrode for gas delivery and for igniting the gas flow. A method of transdermal ion delivery of a plasma flux to biological tissue as a means of treating the biological tissue is also provided.

Dual-frequency terahertz band-pass filter

The invention relates to a dual-frequency terahertz band-pass filter, in particular to the design and production of the dual-frequency terahertz band-pass filter with a semi-insulating gallium arsenide based hollow surface and a complementary split ring resonator, and relates to the terahertz technology and the technical field of semiconductor micromachining. The dual-frequency terahertz band-pass filter utilizing the working principle of the complementary split ring resonator achieves surface plasma polariton resonance through the adjustment on the inner diameter, outer diameter, opening width and periodic structure of the C-SRR (split ring resonator) and obtains low-frequency and high-frequency resonance in two abnormal transmission enhancement modes of inductance-capacitance (LC) resonance. The energy conversion between two resonance frequencies is achieved through the electromagnetic interaction of the two resonances, so that the terahertz reaching the same transmission strength at two bands can be output. The dual-frequency terahertz band-pass filter takes advantage of an existing semiconductor micromachining process and is simple in production process, easy to operate and capable of accurately controlling a micro-structure machining area of the complementary split ring resonator and greatly reducing production costs.

The invention provides an electromagnetic field control based force sense and tactile sense fusing reproduction device and an electromagnetic field control based force sense and tactile sense fusing reproduction method. Based on the electromagnetic field control principle, a size and direction controllable three-dimensional background electromagnetic field is generated in a cubic box body wound around by a coil. A wearable glove with magnetic modules is used, an electromagnet module in the palm of the glove is used for force sense reproduction, electromagnet modules at the tips of fingers are used for texture tactile sense reproduction, and the magnetic modules interact with the three-dimensional background magnetic field. Meanwhile, variation of the electromagnetic interaction forces of the magnetic modules in the corresponding positions of human hands is controlled by detecting the three-dimensional position information of the human hands in real time. The device and the force sense and tactile sense fusing reproduction method, which are designed according to the invention, have the effect of innovatively realizing force sense and tactile sense fusing multipoint interactive and non-contact novel force sense and tactile sense fusing reproduction.

Composite micro wind turbine generator

The invention discloses a composite micro wind turbine generator, which comprises a micro bracket, a micro beam, a piezoelectric structure, a metal coil, a permanent magnet and a base, wherein one end or two ends of the micro beam are fixed on the micro bracket; the micro bracket is fixed on the base; and the micro beam, the piezoelectric structure and the metal coil form the movable part of the composite micro wind turbine generator. The micro beam is provided with the piezoelectric structure and the metal coil, the permanent magnet is fixed on the base, the south pole or north pole of the permanent magnet is opposite to the plane of the metal coil, a gap is preserved between the permanent magnet and the plane of the coil, and the generator converts the energy of vibration of a micro structure into electric energy by using both a piezoelectric effect and the principle of electromagnetic interaction and has a higher mechanical-electric conversion efficiency than micro wind turbine generators using the piezoelectric effect or the principle of electromagnetic interaction alone. The composite micro wind turbine generator can be processed in batches by silicon micromachining technology at low cost and is particularly suitable for supplying power to wireless sensor network nodes and the like.
