The method adopts a dry gas seal to achieve shaft endsealing of an air compressor and the turbine, and adopts a labyrinth seal to reduce the leakage amount of carbon dioxide when the dry gas seal fails. The shaft end sealing device comprises a dry gasseal unit and a labyrinth seal unit, wherein the dry gas seal unit can realize shaft end sealing of the air compressor and the turbine, and the labyrinth seal unit can reduce the leakage amount of carbon dioxide when the dry gas seal fails. The sealing method includes the step of coordinating control over the air inlet temperature and flow of the dry gas seal and the step of monitoring control over dry gas seal leakage after the air compressor and the turbine are started. According to the device and method, efficient shaft end sealing of the high-power high-rotating-speed supercritical carbondioxide air compressor and the turbine is achieved by using the dry gas seal, the leakage amount of the air compressor and the turbine is reduced during dry gas seal failure through the labyrinth seal, safe shutdown of the air compressor and the turbine is ensured, and the unit safety is remarkably improved.
