A chassis clings to a ship hull or other ferrous surface by a magnet that moves toward or away from the surface to adjust the magnet air gap and thus the attractive force. The magnet(s) can be the only clinging force or used with other sources such as a suction chamber or fluid jet drive. An internal magnet on a crank mechanism can pivot around a wheel rotation axis inside a wheel body having a non-ferrous traction surface or tire. When the determined limitation contents are changed, an acceleration/deceleration limitation value is selected from a plurality of acceleration/deceleration limitation values according to the pattern of the change of the limitation contents, and drive control related to the acceleration/deceleration is executed to limit the acceleration/deceleration of the forklift by using the selected acceleration/deceleration limitation value.

A permanent magnet motor operated by the magnetic interaction between two or more permanent magnets, and a control system therefor, is provided. The permanent magnet motor may be a piston motor having a magnetic piston assembly mounted on a crank shaft, and a rotatable cam shaft having a cam magnet corresponding to the piston assembly. When the cam shaft rotates about an axis, the poles of the cam magnet alternatingly face the adjacent magnetic pole of the corresponding piston magnet. The magnetic field interactions between the piston magnet and the cam magnet cause the piston to reciprocate within the cylinder. The permanent magnet motor may also be a rotary motor comprising a rotor having a plurality of rotor magnets, and a stator having a stator magnet. A diagnostic system for a vehicle driven by an internal combustion engine acquires a diagnostic driving pattern defined by a vehicle speed; stores a drive train model for calculating a torque and rotational speed of the internal combustion engine backward from a vehicle speed and an acceleration; stores map data in which a fuel consumption is associated with a torque and rotational speed of the internal combustion engine; updates the map data on the basis of a result of actual control over the internal combustion engine; uses the drive train model to calculate changes in torque and rotational speed of the internal combustion engine when the vehicle is caused to drive in accordance with the driving pattern; and uses the calculated changes in torque and rotational speed and the map data to calculate a fuel efficiency when the vehicle is caused to drive in accordance with the driving pattern.

When a determination result of a limitation determining section during a driving of a forklift is positive, a control section limits a vehicle speed and adjusts an engine speed. If a limitation canceling condition is met while the vehicle speed is limited, a control section cancels a vehicle speed limitation state, and executes a loading priority control in which an actuation of a loading device is prioritized. Thus, when a loading device is actuated during driving with a speed limit, the stability of the forklift is ensured while improving the workability of the loading operation.

To enable building up pressure quickly with a return feed pump, even when the master cylinder is not actuated, a precharge pump, which is mounted on the storage container of the master cylinder and can be made to communicate with the master cylinder through a valve that is mounted in the storage container following the master cylinder. When the master cylinder is not actuated, pressure can be built up in the master cylinder and thus in the vehicle brake system using the precharge pump.

A power unit for a vehicle, such as an automobile, includes an internal combustion engine 1 as a prime mover for the vehicle, a generator 3, and a Stirling engine 4 for driving the generator 3. The Stirling engine 4 uses the exhaust gas discharged by the internal combustion engine 1 as a high-temperature heat source. Power generated by the generator 3 is supplied to an electric motor 2 for driving auxiliary machines 7, 8 and 9, and to a battery 5 for supplying power to the electric motor 2. The engine speed of the Stirling engine 4 is controlled through the control of the load on the generator 3 by a field regulator 15. An optimum engine speed of the Stirling engine 4 is determined such that the brake horsepower of the Stirling engine 4 increases to a maximum or substantially maximum brake horsepower. The fuel consumption of the internal combustion engine 1 as the prime mover that produces waste heat as a high-temperature heat source for the Stirling engine 4 is reduced, and the auxiliary machines are driven so as to fully exercise their functions even in a state where the brake horsepower of the Stirling engine 4 is low.

The invention discloses a dynamical system, in particular relates to an air energy dynamical system which adopts the air as the energy. The air energy dynamical system includes a high-pressure air holder which forms closed cycle through pipeline connection, an air engine, a low-pressure air holder and a secondary air booster, wherein, the high-pressure air holder is connected with an air inlet of the air engine; the low-pressure air holder is connected with an air exhaust of the air engine; an output shaft of the air engine outputs mechanical energy; and the energy of the secondary air booster is provided by a high-energy accumulator battery. The secondary air booster is an air compressor which adopts a direct current motor as the power. The invention has the advantage of taking air as energy without environmental pollution and having simple structure, high safety performance and closed cycle.

Stirling cycle engines with hot and cold gerotor sets separated by an insulation barrier. The barrier has regenerative gas passages to allow gasses to flow therethrough thus connecting displacing chambers of the hot and cold gerotor sets. Each gerotor set has a rotor within a stator and displacing chambers created in an offset space therebetween. The stators may rotate about the rotors, or vice-versa. Either the rotor of the cold gerotor set has an axis of rotation offset with respect to the rotor of the hot gerotor set or the stator of the cold gerotor set has an axis of rotation offset with respect to the stator of the hot gerotor set, and the non-offset rotors or stators rotate about a common axis and are rotationally connected and create an angular phase offset between connected hot and cold chambers. The gerotor apparatuses may be utilized for a Stirling cycle engine for generating electricity, for example.

The invention relates to an air-operated car, in particular to a compressed-air-powered car using an air power engine as a power source. The air-powered car comprises a car frame, an underpan, an axle, the air power engine, a generator, a main air storage tank, a heating adjuster, a flow control valve, an air distribution controller and a control device, wherein the control device controls the flow control valve according to working conditions of the air-powered car and operation conducted by a driver, and accordingly the power output of the air power engine is adjusted. The air-powered car is further provided with an assisting loop and a supplement air inlet loop so that the endurance mileage of air-operated cars can be increased. Meanwhile, the air-powered car is further provided with a tail gas recovery and pressurization loop so as to fully utilize tail gas of the air power engine.

The self-supply pneumatic vehicle comprises an air compressor, a gas storage tank, a pneumatic motor, a worm wheel-worm mechanism, a clutch, a speed change device, a variable-energy speed change device, a generator and a storage battery. The self-supply pneumatic vehicle has a reasonable structure; and the adopted pneumatic motor does not consume gasoline, diesel oil, natural gas or other gases, so that the pneumatic vehicle has no pollution to the environment and is efficient and energy-saving. The gas storage tank is charged along running and can continually work, so that the pneumatic vehicle has long running distance.

A motorcycle includes a transmission, an ECU, an engine and a transmission operating mechanism. The engine has a crank. The transmission operating mechanism includes a shift pedal and a load sensor. The load sensor detects an operation of the shift pedal by a driver, and applies a detected value to the ECU. The ECU decreases an output of the engine when a torque (driving force) having at least a predetermined value is transmitted from the crank to the transmission when a shift operation of the driver is detected by the load sensor. Moreover, the ECU does not decrease the output when the torque transmitted from the crank to the transmission is less than the predetermined value when the shift operation of the driver is detected by the load sensor.

A power wheelchair includes a frame having first and second pivot portions on each of opposite sides of one end thereof, a pair of first wheel sets each having a first wheel mount pivoted to one of the second pivot portions of the frame and a first wheel rotatably connected to the first wheel mount, a pair of driving wheel sets each having a driving wheel mount pivoted to one of the first pivot portions of the frame and a driving wheel rotatably connected to the driving wheel mount, and a pair of suspension devices each connected between the first wheel mount of one of the first wheel sets and the driving wheel mount of one of the driving wheel sets. In a hybrid vehicle, rocker outer reinforcements serving as vehicle side frame members in a vehicle width direction extend in a vehicle front-rear direction. An hybrid system (10) of the invention includes a fuel cell unit (20) that generates electricity upon being supplied with reaction gases, a secondary battery (40) that stores electric power generated by the fuel cell unit (20), and an electric power control device (30) that controls distribution of electric power supplied to electric power loads (M1, M2) from the fuel cell unit (20) and the secondary battery (40). The secondary battery (40) has a capacity characteristic of being able to supply the requested amounts of electric power of the electric power loads (M1, M2) at least during an early stage following restart of operation of the fuel cell unit (20) from a state of pause of operation.

A motorcycle includes a transmission, a CPU, an engine, a load sensor and a notification lamp. The load sensor detects a shift operation by a driver. When the shift operation is performed by the driver, an output of the engine is adjusted by the CPU so that a torque (driving force) transmitted between the engine and the transmission is reduced. The CPU does not adjust the output when the torque is transmitted from the transmission to the engine when an up-shifting operation is performed by the driver. Moreover, a notification lamp is lit by the CPU when the torque having at least a predetermined value is transmitted from the transmission to the engine when the up-shifting operation is performed by the driver.
