The invention discloses a multi-position hole-type viscous damper, and belongs to the field of civil engineering vibration control. The viscous damper comprises piston rods, pistons, a cylinder, an end cover, and connecting parts. The piston is provided with a damping hole, and the pistons comprise a left piston and a right piston, wherein the left and right pistons are connected together through a bolt and gasket. A circular disc is clamped between the left piston and the right piston, and is provided with a throttling hole. The piston rods comprise a left piston rod and a right piston rod, wherein the left end of the left piston rod is connected with a left connecting part, and the right end of the left piston rod is disposed on the left piston in a nested manner. The internal center of the left piston rod is provided with a hole groove, and the interior of the hole groove is provided with a rotating shaft, wherein a sealing device is disposed between the rotating shaft and the hole groove. The left end of the rotating shaft is provided with an adjusting knob, and the right end of the rotating shaft is connected with the circular disc. The left end of the right piston rod is disposed on the right piston in a nested manner, and the right end of the right piston rod is free. According to the invention, the viscous damper carries out the adjustment of the level of a damping force in a mode of switching throttling holes with different diameters through rotating the circular disc, so as to meet the demands of different loads. The viscous damper is easy to machine, is flexible in damping force level adjustment, and is good in overall stability.
