The invention discloses an FPGA-based method for realizing video and command functions of an MIPI signal and an apparatus thereof. According to the method, on the basis of an MIPI DIS protocol and a DCS protocol, the MIPI video data flow function and command function and signals can be realized simultaneously; and transmission to an MIP module group is also realized based on an HSDT transmission mode and an LPDT transmission mode that are regulated by the MIPI DSO protocol. In addition, the apparatus consists of an MIPI control module, an RGB conversion module, a video synchronization module, a video blanking control module, a video data module, a video cache module, a command data module, a command cache module, an MIPI package allocation module, an HS transmission module, an HS signal generation module, an LPDT cache module, an LPDT transmission module, and an MIPI signal output module. Therefore, video and command display modes of MIPI signals are realized by in one FPGA chip according to the MIPI DIS protocol.
