The invention relates to a Y-shaped ventilation method, which comprises the following steps of: A. when tunneling at a gate road of a mining face, combining the gate road and retaining roadways along a goaf and tunneling, and building 'concrete
pier columns in the roadways' therebetween; B. after finishing digging a through
cut, digging the gate road and the through
cut at the mining face in the next section; C. after starting stopping, building a 'separation wall' between the concrete
pier columns with the propelling of the mining face to separate the goaf; and D. when the mining face stopes, accessing
fresh air flow in two paths, wherein in one path, the air is accessed from the gate road of the mining face and is exhausted to the lower outlet of the mining face through the mining face; and in the other path, the air is accessed from the gate road of the mining face and one side of a mining stopping line in the retaining roadways to join with the lack air flow of the mining face at the lower outlet of the mining face; and the lack air flow comes to a return
airway of the mining area through the lower outlet of the mining face to the separation of the
pier columns, the separation wall sections of the retaining roadways, the next section through
cut and the gate road and the retaining roadways to finish Y-shaped ventilation. In the invention, the method of new retaining roadways along the goaf, namely gate road and retaining roadways are combined to tunnel the concrete pier columns support and protection in the arranged roadways, thus, Y-shaped ventilation can be realized,
coal dust can be reduced, ventilation quality can be improved and the temperature can be reduced. And the method is particularly suitable for the
coal mines with high-temperature and high gas.
