This invention belongs to the field of
coal mine rockburst and gas control, specifically involving a
coal seam mining method based on
directional drilling and
hydraulic fracturing for depressurization and gas extraction. The method includes tunneling and hauling uphill, while simultaneously conducting depressurization and pre-gas extraction of the entire first mining face area through
directional drilling from the surface. Then,
negative pressure ventilation is implemented through the
directional drilling on the surface. After the hauling and uphill tunneling is completed, the first mining face can be started immediately, with simultaneous return air tunneling. This significantly improves the timing and efficiency of starting the first mining face, allowing for faster
recovery and cost reduction. Furthermore, during
negative pressure ventilation at the surface using directional drilling, the gas and
coal dust generated at the tunneling face flow with the
airflow through the directional drilling to the surface, minimizing health impacts on workers at the tunneling face and greatly improving the safety of the
working environment.
