The invention discloses an economic dispatching method based on a flexible transformer area, which adopts a converter and an energy storage device to transfer inter-transformer-area load, and specifically comprises the following steps: S1, setting an objective function of economic dispatching for balancing the transformer area load rate, reducing the energy storage electricity purchasing cost andreducing the transformer area heavy load rate; S2, constructing power models of a transformer, a converter and an energy storage device in the transformer area; S3, setting constraint conditions whichare based on the power model and accord with actual working condition operation; S4, inputting various parameters of the flexible transformer area; and S5, solving an economic dispatch result, wherein the economic dispatch result comprises a day-ahead power plan of the transformer, the converter and the energy storage device. According to the economic dispatching method, the converter and the energy storage device are adopted to transfer the inter-transformer-area load, and complete balance of the transformer area load rate is realized, the operation cost and the electricity purchasing cost are reduced, and the transformer area heavy load rate is reduced.
