A method for efficient and fast implementation of context-based adaptive binary arithmetic encoding in H.264/AVC video encoders is disclosed. The H.264/AVC video standard supports two entropy coding mechanisms. These include Context Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC) and Context Adaptive Variable Length Coding (CAVLC). The entropy coding efficiency of CABAC exceeds that of CAVLC by a clear margin. The method further provides techniques that make the implementation of CABAC on digital signal processors (DSPs) and other processing devices significantly faster. In one aspect, the method increases decoupling between the binarization process and the arithmetic encoding process from bit level to single or multiple syntax element(s) level. The binarized data is provided to the arithmetic encoding engine in bulk, thereby significantly reducing the overhead due to procedure calls. In another aspect, a CABAC arithmetic encoding engine format is provided which decreases data writing overhead and better exploits parallelism in the encoding process. This aspect is particularly advantageous to, for example, very long instruction word (VLIW) DSPs and media processors. In yet another aspect, the method discloses efficient CABAC binarization schemes for syntax elements.

Each actuating arm, on the free ends thereof, has a first articulated axis that is parallel to the transmission axis with first articulated parts arranged at a distance from each other, of a first ball joint. The carrier element has a second articulated axis associated with each actuating arm with first articulated parts that are arranged at a distance in relation to each other, of a second ball joint. The first articulated axis is connected to the second articulated axis by a pair of connecting bars which include terminal second articulated parts. The terminal second articulated parts of the connecting bars form the first and second ball joints with the first articulated parts on the first articulated axis and the first articulated parts on the second articulated axis. The connecting bars for stabilizing the ball joints are connected together. According to the invention, the connecting bars are made of an essentially elastic material and are connected together by at least one prestressing element made of an essentially stiff material.

According to the method and the system for achieving the integration interface supporting the operation of the multi-type databases, the coupling of an application project and the database can be weakened, project decoupling is facilitated, and extension is relatively flexible; meanwhile, harsh requirements to database field knowledge of a developer are avoided.
